 A Few of FR's Finest.....
......Every Day
FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues; salute
and support our military and our leaders; tell a few jokes; learn a new
word; write poetry; pray for those in need; and congratulate those who
are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which
we can express ourselves.
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. I
can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands
of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.
Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!
And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

RINTENSE
(aka Republican Warrior Princess)
Rintense has been posting a Daily Thread - "A Day in the Life of President Bush" - since shortly after the Inauguration last year. This thread enjoyed almost instantaneous success and has affectionately been dubbed "The Dose".
The Dose begins with a summary of the President's Day, followed by a quote of the day and then photos taken of the President that day. Rintense downloads these photos (mostly from Yahoo and the WH Website) and posts them for all of us to see. She also provides comments along the way and replies to posters. The thread is informative, educational, humorous and poignant. It is posted in the early evening and many of us cannot retire for the night till we have had our Daily Dose of W.

LOL! Save it and use it a lot if you want to! I have a gazillion gifs, etc, and forget to use them so much of the time. And I like your idea about the Pledge! Actually, the vignette of the flag that daisy posted a little earlier would be beautiful - I'll make a graphic with it and the words underneath, and it would be a nice Post #1, along with the Week's thread links. THANKS for the great idea!

Bump to this thread! Rintense has been an amazing stalwart in posting the dose- if it isn't up everynight by about 9:00 PM EST we all start getting worried about her!!
Rintense- I know I don't post much anymore to the dose, but I still check it every now and then and you provide a great service to all of us Bush Babes and Bucks!! Love you!!

True to your word you are. : ) You know, Louie, I never asked you about your dog's surgery...Was afraid to cauz did not want to hear bad news.
But you mentioned it yesterday, about having bandages removed, so it must have been a success.
Did you post an update that I missed? Would love to hear more about it....
Everything went just fine with Mits. Although, she's still unable to put pressure on her leg.
I was very happy to see that fluorescent pink bandage go. LOL
