The full document will be posted as soon as we get it all scanned in and uploaded. I've also signed up for a Pacer account, so hopefully I will be able to obtain an electronic copy as soon as I receive my password (assuming they have the document on file). The password is coming via snail mail.

Related Publications in the LAT/WP vs Free Republic Settlement Agreement by Jim Robinson PING
To: Jim Robinson
There's an awful lot of little side companies there and publications that we'd probably only post from once every six months or so anyway (San Antonio TV station web sites, etc). It'd probably be a good idea to methodically find out the URLs of every single site related to any of these related companies and rig up a way to have the software kick over any post from those URLs to a moderator for double checking. I mean, how many of us are going to remember we can't post from WKMG-TV?

Thanks for the Update.
Personally I would like to see us post as little from all of these as we can. A lot of information they have can be found in papers like The Daily Oklahoman which is owned by the Gaylord Family right here in OKC. The Las Vegas Sun carries AP articles so no need to give the Wash Post any hits for those! The less we use those papers/periodicals the better IMHO!

The Hartford Courant, whaddja know?
Appreciated your posts from my old employer. Have you checked out the Providence Journal? Some great articles there. Projo's new site crashes my browser however and I miss reading it.

They own all that? How about a class action anti-trust lawsuit?

It would be interesting to develop a computer program to automatically rewrite news articles to preserve the "facts" and quotes from the articles, but sufficiently different to avoid copyright issues.

Put a simple list, in "list" format in the posting guidlines of which pubs we have to use links and excerpts.
You guys spend enough time chasing people down already. It's nice to see you free up some time for debate once in a while like you did the other night.

Thanks. I THINK this doesn't effect me here for the most part. I didn't see any of the local papers covered.
However, If you see "Click on Detroit.com"(WDIV channel 4) as a source(rare, but happens), I'm 90% sure that has to be pulled. I think Post-Newsweek owns it.
ALL - for AP, I go to Mlive.

Don't worry about postings from the Baltimore Sun even though the LA Times owns them. The paper is not fit to eat crabs off, and they are going down the tubes.
Very few posts from the Sun, they are history.

In the past I have posted articles from the Chicago Tribune. You might have to purge 6 - 10 threads I posted over the last 4 years due to that. No More! I have removed my bookmark to that web site.

Can we not post articles at all from these publications, or can we only include just a short excerpt and link from the sources you named?
To: Jim Robinson
Holy crap....
I assume this laundry list of periodicals (I assumed there was just one or two other ones when the settlement was announced) will be put into the page when we try to make a new thread? Better yet, the software could forbid us posting anything with these periodicals as the source.
We can't remember all of this on our own, I don't think.
To: Jim Robinson; All
Actually, ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to see a thorough and very dedicated campaign to expose the left-wing bias of all these publications. Start threads with short excerpts and links. Stay absolutely within the limitations of the settlement agreement at all times.
And slash them to ribbons.
They got it coming.
We can start with the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek and the Washington Post. Let's do it.
