Pehaps this might have something to do with the fact that on September 11th 2001 Muslim terrorists hijacked aircraft full of people and flew them into buildings in NY and DC?
I am having a problem understanding the mentality of people in this nation. They obviously don't understand the magnitude of the event, and the extreme danger we are in. Perhaps they have seen too many violent movies. While you are watching it, it is exciting and you are all fired up in the audience rooting for the good guys. When it is over, you go home and all is well.
This war is not make believe, it is very real, and coming to a city near you. No tickets are necessary and the popcorn isn't $5 a bucket.

This war is not make believe, it is very real, and coming to a city near you.

I have yet to have anyone explain to me what good all the surveillance cameras would do in the event of more terrorist attacks. In fact, I have yet to have someone explain to me how surveillance cameras make us safer in any way. The only benefit I can see is allowing the crimes to be solved after the fact. Can you explain any other benefit?

In my mind, the loss of privacy FAR outweighs any possible benefit to being watched. I'd rather have my privacy and be responsible for my own safety.
