How would You Feel without FR??? Suppose one day you tried to log on and Free Republic wasn’t there?
Where would you get your up to the minute news? How about the live threads as things are happening?
How would you know about the latest Demorat scams, anti-second amendment schemes and all the other liberal, anti-American ploys that are tried every single day?
Insight into world affairs, brilliant wit, sharp retorts, instant information gratification are a few of the things that make FR so vital.How would you keep on top of things without FR?
How would you know who to contact to complain about the lying politicians, Media Bias, Hollyweirds latest mouth off, sponsors of these idiots, company policies that are unfair and all the other things we need to know to counteract the liberal mindset and the evil plans of liberals?

Really annoyed me that people are e-mailing Jim questioning what it costs to run this place. I don't see any of them putting up their own site, monitoring it day and night, constantly writing and re-writing the software to make sure it's the most cutting edge site on the web. I don't see them paying for the bandwidth, or standing up for the Constitution in the lawsuit with WP and LAT. I don't see them taking the risks that Jim has had to take just to make sure that we all have a place to come and learn, discuss, cuss, rant, reflect, inspire, uplift, laugh, cry and do all the other things that Freepers do here daily.
FreeRepublic is unique. The site reflects those of us who come here and support it. And I'm darned proud to support it.
I'm sure that all of us have a 9/11 story that is unique and will not be forgotten by us as long as we live.
To me and even my non Freeper wife, 9/11 and most of 9/12 was proof of how important Free Republic was during the bad times. On 9/11, we were driving south on 101 down the Oregon coast on the edge of our country and the edge of very little news. It was a scary day that my wife and I will never forget.
When it comes from those pretending to care and trying to make an issue out of nothing, then it becomes a pia!
Every thon we have a couple of these creeps, that slime out of their ooze to pretend to be such great noble people with noble questions.
They have two goals. The first here was to slime Jim. The second is to deter people from contributing.
The creep that Jim referred to is truly pathetic and needs a life besides monitoring Free Republic and trying to report Jim for nothing. Apparently there are several whose only life is to monitor FR and try to slime Jim and hurt FR!

True. Jim has always been very open about where the money is going. IMHO he doesn't take near enough money for himself. It's more than a full time job keeping a handle on this site. I don't think people really have any idea how much goes into keeping a board like this functioning smoothly.
