I thought one of the original Al Qaeda targets was the Sears Tower, along with the Transamerica building in San Fran & a few others.
I have a few relatives & friends who live in & around Chicago. Of course, we don't know if Chicago was the original target, but you can bet this terrorist would have gotten quite a bit of help from the radical Islamic groups in Chicago.

Do you remember hearing about an El Rukn - Libya connection a few years back?
To: cyberaxe
Not convinced it's him; that's why I didn't post the photo.
The website parole date has him still in prison during
the 2001 timeline Mujahir was meeting with Al Qaeda.

**For example-- y"-3y'-4y = 3exp(2t) + 2sin(t) - 8exp(t)cos(2t) **
Is this what I have to look forward to? What IS this?

Flew from Texas to Idaho yesterday. The airport security, based on "random screening", pulled a little 5-year old girl on her first flight out of line in front of me and subjected her to screening (thankfully short). She was one scared little girl!!
That's certainly ridiculous.
As I and others have said here the entire "extended screening" process is a bad joke that accomplishes nothing for security but making it look like the alleged security people are "doing something".
Though I guess its not completely useless as it allows bureaucratic empire building and allows the testing of police state tactics on Americans.

Your short article says:
Ashcroft said Abdullah Al Mujahir was in the custody of the U.S. military and being treated as an enemy combatant, suggesting plans for the first military tribunal of an alleged terrorist. A tribunal? For a citizen caught on US soil? Seems like this contradicts assurances we have previously had outlined.

Have you heard "where" the bomb was to be exploded? Washington DC according to all the reports.

Time to encase a few Trident warheads in cobalt-59 and targeting them on some Middle-Eastern cities.

So much for profiling "Arab looking" types...
No. Still plenty effective.
More than nine out of ten terrorists are Arab looking young males.
We dont need to ignore the rule to try to catch the exception.

Thank God for John Ashcroft, and may God bless him.

Your dad's advice is good. Patterns of behavior can shed light on a situation. When the ...cockroaches begin to scurry, something's up!

I hope our government is keeping a close eye on the Moslem groups that recruit in prisons. Shoe Boy Reid was converted while in a Brit prison.
To: Joe Hadenuf
I'm not sure I'd go that far, but the point is still valid--our enemy may not always be an arab.
Our enemy may not even always be male. I remember how surprised the world was when a Palestinian homicide bomber was a woman. Terrorism thrives on surprise.
