I thought one of the original Al Qaeda targets was the Sears Tower, along with the Transamerica building in San Fran & a few others.

I have a few relatives & friends who live in & around Chicago. Of course, we don't know if Chicago was the original target, but you can bet this terrorist would have gotten quite a bit of help from the radical Islamic groups in Chicago.

Flew from Texas to Idaho yesterday. The airport security, based on "random screening", pulled a little 5-year old girl on her first flight out of line in front of me and subjected her to screening (thankfully short). She was one scared little girl!!

That's certainly ridiculous.

As I and others have said here the entire "extended screening" process is a bad joke that accomplishes nothing for security but making it look like the alleged security people are "doing something".

Though I guess its not completely useless as it allows bureaucratic empire building and allows the testing of police state tactics on Americans.
