You're right ---we are. We've become so politically correct, we're happy to all take off our shoes at the airports and believe we're safe now by doing it. I think there will be more attacks and many more Americans killed before we really realize what is happening and that our government isn't protecting us. You can see why the Muslims would look down on Christians and Americans since they tend to only know a certain type they meet in our liberal universities ----if they had bothered to get out into the American heartland or attend NRA meetings or real Christian churches, they may not have been as inclined to declare war on us or believe we were ready to be placed under their Koran. They saw us as a bunch of very weak minded, mostly homosexual, materialistic etc because they attended our universities ---- and we're stupid enough to believe foreigners studying here will learn about the Constitution and our freedoms and learn to appreciate our way of life. We should end foreigners coming to our universities because they've become as un-American and as anti-American as you can get.

Wrongful termination suits are FEDERAL CASES if they involve discrimination. In the current climate before a Federal Jury, there's a chance to win a case like that. But, does the wronged party have enough money to pay up front fees to a trial attorney? That's the only drawback.

I worked on Federal Cases but was on the defense side. We had a thousand exhibits.

The first step is to contact the EEOC. Maybe there's no need for an attorney for the beginning of the WT claim. Please tell whomever may need the information that is how you get started. I am late getting to this thread.

Quran tells Muslims to kill the disbelievers wherever they find them (Q. 2:191), to murder them and treat them harshly (Q. 9:123), slay them (Q. 9: 5), fight with them, (Q. 8: 65 ) even if they are Christians and Jews, humiliate them and impose on them a penalty tax (Q. 9: 29). Quran takes away the freedom of belief from all humanity and tell clearly that no other religion except Islam is accepted (Q. 3: 85). It relegates those who disbelieve in Quran to hell (Q. 5: 11), calls them najis (filthy, untouchable, impure) (Q. 9: 28). It orders its followers to fight the unbelievers until no other religion except Islam is left (Q. 2: 193).

Bless you for posting this. I heard the "Islam is a religion of peace" line from a conservative but naive Jewish friend a few months ago, and I've been looking for just those verses ever since.

I'd be more interested in the subject and the allegation made in his posting than in the precision of his grammar or structure.

The university will probably say that Dr. Curtiss was a regular employee on a contract which could be renewed, or not, at will. However, the essence of what Dr. Curtiss is saying, as far as I am concerned, is that he was acting, in significant part, as a faculty member, and that academic administrators object to political views he expressed in an academic setting. In other words, it was a violation of academic freedom. There is no law that the University of Wisconsin has to grant academic freedom. However, I'm thinking that academic freedom is a value they profess, and that if they are humiliated by having it shown that they violated academic freedom principles, they will back down. There was a very similar case at John Hopkins shortly after September 11, when a professor made politically incorrect statements at a open university discussion of the attack on America. The Hopkins professor was demoted, but then, after negative publicity, the university backed down. One can hope for it to happen here also.

I'm no big fan of organized religion. Get that $hit out of the classroom. Islam has no business being taught in a medical school. The state government should be able to arrest and prosecute the people in the state university who set up the lecture. The state should not allow any lectures promoting any religion or anti-religion. Yes, I believe it should be a crime, just a misdemeanor, but a crime nonetheless for state employees to cross that line.

Why should a foreigner be like us? They're coming here for an education, not citizenship. Do you think our students that study abroad should have to learn to act like a native of that country? Most of the foreigners I know on campus like America. Most of their comments after 9-11 were more sympathetic to our country than Jerry Falwell and company's. What is with you? Someone tells you that someone is anti-American and you automatically accept it? You think everyone that goes to college is anti-American and that all foreigners in our colleges hate America because a few a$$holes burn flags and call for a Jihad?
