Radical Islamists Honored at University of Wisconsin Christians Dismissed from Staff
Holy Bible, Koran | 6/8/02 | M. Curtiss MD

Posted on 06/08/2002 7:03:11 AM PDT by Love of Country

On January 10th, I received a registered letter from John Fry MD Dean of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. My contract at Wausau Family Practice was not to be renewed. My offense, I asked several questions of radical Islamists during a required lecture at the previous week. Lecture topics are always of a medically revelant nature; trauma, podiatry, fracture treatment etc,, However, our program director Kevin O'Connell allowed two new islamist interns two and a half hours of required lecture time to preach islam.

One of the muslims actually sang his prayers. He then went on to discribe "the Pillars of Islam" after two plus hours of this several people began get uncomfortable with the lecterers calls for jihad and militancy toward the United States. All my questions were theologic in nature. I was hoping to display for the audience the plagerism mohammed practiced in writing the koran by quoting the Holy Bible when relavant. At no time was any member of the audience disrespectful.

At the end of the talk the muslims true nature showed itself as raw paranoia. He said that soon all muslims would be interred "I've seen the pictures of prisons on the internet" He admitted tithing to Global Benevolence Foundation, sending money to the families of suicide bombers. "I know Mr. Haddad, he's being held prisoner"

I was content to dust off my feet and move on. I interviewed and was offered a position at Michigan State. Somehow word of my new position got back to the people at University of Wisconsin. They called up my new employer. I was informed that Michigan state no longer had a position for me. My wife cried for hours.

Another Christian physician was also told his position was closed. His offense like mine was to ask an innocuous question.

"Frey's biography explains everything. He is a propagandist, not a physician."

You must have read a different bio, then, my friend. I read it..............and I haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about, and I doubt anyone else does, either.

How about this part of Fry's bio??

Active in student organizations during medical school, including Medical Committee for Human Rights, Free Clinic organization, Literary Society, and Student Health Action Committee.

Sounds a little suspicious to me!

WNSW-AM has fired Aaron Braunstein for "Arab bashing."

Something about this doesn't smell right. WNSW broadcasts Korean programming most of the day, and sells the rest to all comers. Last I knew Braunstein only had a one-hour show late at night once a week on some other station where he talked about boxing more than anything else.

Then why don't you then accuse the doctor himself of dissembling? He's the one who posted it.

I tend to dismiss the story myself, but only because it sounds a bit outlandish and is one of those "friend of a friend" e-mails.

It is? I thought the guy who posted it was the guy who wrote it. I didn't see any "FOAF" mention...

Naw, my friend, just typical soft-hearted (or soft-headed) college kid stuff; nothing subversive there.

Besides...........keep in mind what this guy was fired for, assuming the story is true. I don't know if it is or not, but I CAN say that it is, unfortunately, eminently believable.

That's the key - dry up their funding.

In addition to pressuring the states that support these intellectual cess pools, I think it's also time for us to lean on people who provide scholarship and foundation money to these enemies of the American people. They picture themselves as glamorous and idealistic, manning the ramparts of radical thought. Let's see how idealistic they are when their funding starts to dry up!

Here's another suggestion: We need conservative/libertarian professors! Don't do as Ellsworth Toohey gloated: "You left the world of ideas to people like me." Get in there, like I'm doing, and be a monkey wrench! (Be careful just how bold you are before tenure.) But even before tenure you can make a difference. Give these kids an alternative, and do it right in the belly of the beast.

Amen and amen!

You aren't the only one, Anamensis. I know others as well... ;-)

If our side can work stealth-like, we can pull it off, just like the liberals did to accomplish their nefarious goals 40-50 years ago!

You actually have no idea how much I appreciate hearing that. I have felt like I'm trapped in Red Square for the last 3 years and have been pretty miserable. I just keep telling myself: get candidacy, do the dissertation, get the job... and then, oh then...

Meanwhile I content myself with pointing out the biases in the textbooks they make me use to teach undergrads. I mean, pointing the bias out TO THE UNDERGRADS. I make them read excerpts from Ayn Rand, John McWhorter, anything I can work in somehow.

Read his bio again. How long has it been since he has practiced medicine? He has served as an administrator and his skill was an amorphous 'family medicine'. If you would have this doctor evaluate, prescribe or cut on you then you're a bigger boob than I thought.

If you're a Wisconsin University alumni spread the word and write the President and make it clear as a result of the U.'s contempt for Americans they will not receive any bequests or endowments. That's right hit them where it will do good - in their pocket books. The U. Administration will soon get the message that honoring the Islamokamikazi contingent AND firing Christians from their staff is not healthy for their bottom line.

All I can say is that during 16 years of primary care I've never been sued. As far as amorphous you are right one minute I'm delivering a baby the next I'm running a Code blue. Being a Family physician is the most challenging of all jobs in the medical profession. BTW, May God Bless You gaspar!

Next time I put in a line of tricky sutures, I'll worry about my spelling. BTW, many times I've "acted" as a plastics guy, because Mom and Dad had no insuarance. Just do your best Doc! I've left more uncollected bills in rural America than you have made in your career. God Bless You Edgar!
