That sucking sound is the noise of all those heads going back into the sand to rally the troops for the mid-term elections.

Folks, many of you have been calling into this show to rip into me for criticizing President Bush on any number of issues.
Today he read an email that basically called him a Bush-bot. Some people are never pleased.

RUSH REMAINS ROCK SOLID

Huh? It was no secret that rush's brain is full of rocks, especially when he takes the NYT as "gospel".

Actually, except for 9/11 and resultant events, Bush has been a rather mediocre President so far, IMHO. I suspect had there been no 9/11, his approval 'numbers' would be mediocre as well.

Limbaugh's smarting from getting whipped by buying the phony NYTimes Global Warming story.

If he's so "rock solid," why is he so defensive lately? Seems to me he'd just go about his business and not care what people think.

It didn't take long for the "Rush is losing it" crowd to chime in.

They would definately be mediocre. During wartime most presidents have high approval ratings. Bush, Sr. had a 80 to 90% approval rating at the end of the Gulf War, and then lost to Bubba less than two years later.

I can't imagine why everyone's panties or shorts are in such a wad over Rush. At the end of the day, he will still defend Bush against anyone else.

Amazing how Rush and Alan Keyes can be 'chewed up and spit out' for remaining firm in the principled stands they take.....

I like him but he should be man enough to admit it when he screws up. He dropped the ball on the NYT global warming flap. He's not man enough to admit it.

Life goes on.

While both of them read and quote the New York Times as the God's honest truth.

Rush is right about this. As he wrote on his website the other day, Bush is a centrist. Here's Rush's quote which bears repeating because it is so accurate:

"The White House thinks their strategy is working like a charm and, really, who could argue with them? Their strategy is not to really spell out their own agenda and fight for it no matter what. Their strategy is to advance a centrist agenda that consists of a sizable percentage of the left's agenda, issue by issue. In the process, they're picking off Democrat votes. They're doing two things. They're denying Democrats issues to run on, and at the same time giving specific members of the Democrat coalition reasons to vote for Bush or against the Democrat candidates. The way they're looking at it, it's working."

Dissenting views will not be tolerated. The President's approval ratings must reach 100%! When they do, then some here will attack those who rate him "fair to good" instead of "excellent."

In comparison to the Keyes agenda, which braves tough choices such as which sweater to wear for segment two.
