Amazing how Rush and Alan Keyes can be 'chewed up and spit out' for remaining firm in the principled stands they take.....
While both of them read and quote the New York Times as the God's honest truth.
The Lemmings do insist on absolute protocol no matter the issue - the alternative according to them is akin to mutiny...
It's a page right out of the modus operandi of Liberals.
Rush is being kicked for one issue, but it still doesn't cover up the fact that there are plenty of issues Bush has moved to the left on. Take this 'Homeland Security' speech tonight. Three weeks ago, the Democrats were adamant about how this department had to report to Congress and trying to force Ridge to testify in Congressional hearings. The administration said no, it's our perogative, and we stand by that. Three weeks later we have the second largest cabinet position that groups everything from the Secret Service to the Coast Guard to FEMA under one position and the people I see congratulating Bush on FOX are Harmon, Lieberman, Arlen Specter, and Trent Lott.
As a conservative that's just who I would want praising my decisions on TV < /sarcasm>
Remaining firm on "principled stands" is easy, so long as you don't have to actually DO anything other than talk about them.
I bet you that if O'Reilly starts eating up Rush's numbers, we will see a major shift towards populism by the Maharushie.
As for Keyes, I guess his next test will be to see if he can beat the primetime guy for a better slot.
