President Bush attended a NATO ceremony today called the 'Rome Declaration', which made Russia a junior member. Bush also raised concerns regarding the child sex scandal in the Catholic Church as he met with Pope John Paul. The President and First Lady returned to the White House late this afternoon. Get those right-clicks ready and enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

But the people who don't vote don't count. Yep .. but what makes me mad is .. these are also the FIRST ones to complain
My thinking is .. don't like it .. then cast your vote

Dead people and dogs always seem to vote Democratic. How many people would vote if they were confident that the elections were honest? I would like to see the Republicans push for honest elections. With modern technology there is no reason we can not have fraudproof elections at reasonable cost. But those who want to sabotage the changover to honest elections will say it would cost too much. The software should not be proprietary; it should be open source.

Thanks for the ping, Rintense! :) Nice picture of Bush and Blair, although I am not very fond of Blair. At least he has been supportive of President Bush.

the Republicans push for honest elections
Some of the more conservative Republicans could be counted on in such an effort, but Political Correctness is too deeply engrained even in the Cabinet (e.g. Norm Mineta) to expect much from Bush's administration, I'm afraid.
but's he was such a nice dog ... you can't take his vote away ...

I really love that Berlusconi! He is so enthusiastic for Western civilization, and obviously has tremendous respect for President Bush.
You know, Bush, Blair, Berlusconi, Putin and Azner are all young men, and are also men who have a lot of integrity and common sense. So unlike the doddering Chirac.
As for the meeting with the Pope, I was so glad to read that Bush brought up the priest homosexual pedophile scandal. It's time for the Church to expect a better quality of men in the priesthood, or end it. Homosexuals who spit on their vows, give themselves license to betray the trust of Catholics, need to condemned and prosecuted and excommunicated. It would be good to see some tarring and feathering, just to start.

I am well aware of that but that was not the discussion in this case. Someone said Bill Clinton did not win the popular vote eiter time. No one mentioned the electrol college system

He won the popular vote. When you get the most votes, as he did, you win the popluar vote.

Hello, everyone. Got to catch up on yesterday's dose. Pictures are terrific as usual.
Today's Psalms is the remainder of Psalm 7.
No matter what else is going on, we can praise God for His Righteousness. And we can pray for the "wickedness of the wicked to come to an end". Lord, how we need that today!
9Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end,
But establish the just;
For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.
10My defense is of God,
Who saves the upright in heart.
11God is a just judge,
And God is angry with the wicked every day.
12If he does not turn back,
He will sharpen His sword;
He bends His bow and makes it ready.
13He also prepares for Himself instruments of death;
He makes His arrows into fiery shafts.
14Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity;
Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood.
15He made a pit and dug it out,
And has fallen into the ditch which he made.
16His trouble shall return upon his own head,
And his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown.
17I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness,
And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

In the last Gallup Poll, President Bush's job approval rating was at 76%, but his personal approval rating is 80%. At the end of his Presidency, Xlinton's job approval rating was 67% (because he pulled the wool over the American people's eyes with the complicity of the media), but his personal approval ratings were very low.

They focused on NYC and September 11th. It was only an hour long, but it really did a good job of showing how well Rudy handled the day.

Aw! I had a dog named Duke growing up. He used to ride my moped with me. He was a lab mix and lived until the age of 15. Have fun with your new baby!

They say his mind is as sharp as ever, even if his body is failing. He's been a good pope and a kind man.

Yes, the Pope is a good and a kind man and was, along with Reagan and Thatcher, the strength of Western Civilization's moral force which, in the end, brought down the old Soviet Communist empire. Though a Protestant, I firmly believe that this Pope - just as Reagan and Thatcher - and now our President Bush - came to their time for just such a time as they were called into their positions. Thank God for his inestimable wisdom.
How we ALL need God's help at this time, the Catholic Church, the Protestant Church, and all the world. Sometimes I feel I should just devote myself solely to prayer, the needs are so great. This wonderful Pope John Paul and many in the Catholic Church are dedicated to praying for the world. This is true in some Protestant Churches also (Presbyterian Church members in South Korea rise early and go to prayer for hours every day). Thank God for them and that dedication.
