Yes, the Pope is a good and a kind man and was, along with Reagan and Thatcher, the strength of Western Civilization's moral force which, in the end, brought down the old Soviet Communist empire. Though a Protestant, I firmly believe that this Pope - just as Reagan and Thatcher - and now our President Bush - came to their time for just such a time as they were called into their positions. Thank God for his inestimable wisdom.

How we ALL need God's help at this time, the Catholic Church, the Protestant Church, and all the world. Sometimes I feel I should just devote myself solely to prayer, the needs are so great. This wonderful Pope John Paul and many in the Catholic Church are dedicated to praying for the world. This is true in some Protestant Churches also (Presbyterian Church members in South Korea rise early and go to prayer for hours every day). Thank God for them and that dedication.
