SOS CALLING ALL FR'ERS! COMBAT PC NURSES WHO DONT CARE ABOUT TELLING PEOPLE HOW TO AVOID AIDS!
Nursing Spectrum, Nurse to Nurse e-board ^ | 5/23/2002 | "STOP AIDS BY STOPPING THE SINS"

SOS TO ALL FR'ERS! NEED YOUR HELP! PLEASE GO TO NURSING SPECTRUM NURSE TO NURSE E BOARD AND POST COMMENTS IN REPLY TO POLITICALLY CORRECT NURSES WHO DONT CARE IF PEOPLE DIE FROM AIDS, WHO DONT WANT TO TELL PEOPLE THE TRUTH ABOUT HOW TO AVOID HIV INFECTION!

I need the help of all Free Republic members. I am a retired hopsital Paramedic and emergency room Nurse. I have dealth with the pain, suffering, disease and death of many sad things. One of those is AIDS.

I have posted an e-lettre on Nurse to Nurse at Nursing Spectrum entitled, "STOP AIDS BY STOPPING THE SINS." My simple thesis is, to avoid most HIV infections, people need to avoid homosexual intercourse, IV drug abuse and sexual promiscuity.

The info I have taken from the US Centre for Disease Control and the Physicians Consortium in my e lettre. I call for honesty to the public and a return to basic Judeo-Christian morality to stop the horrors of HIV infection, as well as all other related problems.

The US CDC calls the behaviours which lead to HIV infection "exposure categories," the largest of which is "men who have sex with men." Health Care people call behaviours that lead to disease "risk factors." The Church and The Bible calls the behaviours that lead to most HIV infections "sins."

Please go to Nurse to Nurse at Nursing Spectrum and see the hate filled, angry, irrational responses that about 8 of 10 so called professional Nurses have posted to my e lettre. I ask you to then help combat their misinformed opinions with your own input, and to post your own responses with intelligence and logic on that eboard.

Find the following: STOP AIDS BY STOPPING THE SINS STOP THE SINS!!! AIDS A BIOLOGICAL GOVERNMENT WEAPON...

Please help with this urgent call immediately.

Thank You,

Mr. R Baral, RN

I don't think 'sin' and religious zealotry have a place in medical treatment.

Witness what they did to Dr. Lorraine Day when she tried to tell the truth about AIDS
Not trying to plug her books or tapes...but the info she's presents is a departure from the pablum passing for Aids Facts Dr. Lorraine Day

To the best of my understanding, AIDs is a deady disease that one choses to have. I'm not convinced we should interfere with the lives of those who chose to have it.

Sorry bud.....I do tell them how to avoid HIV. Guess what? Abstinence is one sure fire method I suggest (top of the list). But I am a Nurse, not a judge. I teach, but I cannot make them choose my preferred method.

Tell me, how much behavior will you change by telling them to "go & sin no more?" My guess....next to none.

Ask the hemophiliacs who have it through no fault of their own....choice? Don't think so.

Obviously they didn't get AIDs by choice, and I do have compassion for them. However, I don't think there has been much danger of AIDs through transfusions for quite a few years (pls correct me if I'm wrong on that). The homos, however, have continued in their Russian roulette lifestyle. I believe that when your enemy is determined to hang himself, give him all the rope he askes for and get out of the way.

America WILL be better without them.

This is always a no-win situation & sometimes I kick myself for getting involved. As a nurse, I was angry when HIV/AIDS becames a civil rights issue and am just as angry when it becomes a moral issue.

It is a disease. Period. For the most part it is one of many STD's. The difference is, of course, this kills. I am a nurse, not God Almighty. I will do my job and trust God to do his. I hope that when I reach the Pearly Gates, God remembers that I treated all patients with dignity.

It is easy to care for a patient who has a run of the mill, ordinary disease---it isn't easy to have to reach beyond your own comfort zone and treat those who live a lifestyle you consider wrong with the same compassion you would want your family members treated. But it is the right thing to do.

What are the nurses supposed to tell them? "Don't engage in sodomy with another homosexual." Then the nurse gets sued on some civil rights charge. You can't win either way with these homosexuals. Besides, just like that pack of Camel filters I just smoked. I knew damn well they could kill me. Its common knowledge.

Here's an idea: tatoo a Surgeon General's warning on the butts of all AIDS carriers. Just like the one on the pack of butts I just smoked.

The most productive thing health professionals can do is lobby their leadership and political reps to increase funding for those diseases for which we lack effective treatment and which we deal with on a daily basis: cancer, heart disease, & stroke. AIDS is 100% preventable (excepting the now-rare transmission via blood transfusion).

My blood boiled when I recalled this fact while attending the funeral this weekend of a good friend who died of cancer at age 50. The discrepancy between the amount of research dollars spent on AIDS vs. that spent on his particular type of cancer is a sad commentary on the political power of those who have no will to PREVENT AIDS. Instead, they demand research money for vaccines and cure. It's a crazy world.
