May 26, 2002 -- Investigators believe Chandra Levy was lured to her death by someone she knew or slain by a predator who methodically stalked her, police sources said yesterday.

Evidence collected at the spot where her remains were found points away from her being killed in a random attack while she was jogging, the sources said.

No verification of ANY of Condit's story. He has stonewalled every step of the way. I pity the Levy's with Billy Martin for their attorney.....he is part of the coverup IMHO.

I am hoping the Levy investigators are smart enough to uncover something. I also think Martin is pretty good.

I had heard reports that her apartment was virtually clean of fingerprints, even hers.

How hard would it be for someone else to bring up the 'history' and 'surf' based on that?

It's quite possible that someone may have needed reassurance that she hadn't sent any emails mentioning his name, discussing things about him, or their activities, or even a hard drive diary of sorts.

Just because the computer was on and being used, doesn't mean is had to be her.

While big cities have lots of crimes, we have to remember the blanket found on the floor by the door. Why? Do you drop your blanket by the door before leaving the house? The apartment was supposedly CLEAN, why leave a blanket on the floor by the door? This suggests either a very late night/early morning visit, and or a hurried vacating of the premises, either willfully or not. And then there are the screams..... it is just as possible that the two are connected as it could be that the screams belonged to someone else, but to have the blanket, the screams outside, and the dogs losing her scent at the curb 'could' all fit!

Gary Condit is a compromised man. He is on several military, and top secret panels that do things in our government. He was having an affair, and someone started to apply pressure to him to do things or give up information. He stopped complying, and Chandra got killed. He complied again, for a while, then stopped. Chandra's body surfaces. Condit starts to comply again, and a suspect, likely to be railroaded as The Killer, is found. You can see a pattern here. I wonder what old Gary is doing these days?

Here's another speculation I've made. What does it take to become a cop these days? Apparently it isn't about being able to solve puzzles, because Ray Charles could have seen a pattern here to what happened to Chandra. Since when do people die of natural causes and then bury themselves in shallow graves next to a creek where dogs and people searched for a body? Apparently hiring the mentally handicapped is standard operating procedure out there in Washington D.C.

The way I believe it played out, One of Condit's closest people was told to lure her out there, and someone would take care of her. She was being used as a toy for a Congressman, and a tool in which to extort information out of one. I would honestly believe that Condit, like so many other dirtbags in office have all kinds of skeletons in their proverbial closets, just not the kind that are hard to hide or get away from. Gary Condit knew everything about Chandra Levy, He even knew when she died, and said nothing, as to protect his worthless behind. I'm ever hopeful that whatever truth does come out, that Condit will be forever branded the liar and dirtbag he is.

You are right. There is a lot we do not know. How does one use a computer without leaving finger prints and the blanket on the floor is strange.

You know where I live, there is always something stinking up the road. This is large park with alot of wildlife and a road right next to the area where she was found. If someone smelled something they probably thought it was a deer rotting that was hit. I know everytime I smell something driving down my road I don't think.... hmm I wonder if that is a dead body I smell. I always assume it is a dead animal... and there are plenty of places around my home and on my road to dump a body. Actually my property backs up to a large Natural Wildlife Reserve that sits on the bluffs along the Mississippi River. We also have a very large prison here and all kinds criminals move to the area so they can be close to their inmate relatives that are in the prison here.

Then you have to wonder well they knew she may have went to the park and she was missing, so why not put two and two together when they smelled something? Most people think there is no way someone would dump a body that close to my house, or maybe they assumed that area was checked already during the search. Or sometimes the smell is not as strong as you think it would be, she was under a heavy wooded area and it probably stayed shaded all the time, plus she may have been 50 plus feet above the road below and it depends on how the wind blows while your passing by that area in your car.

Here's my theory...which is close to but somewhat different than yours:

CLevy calls wife in CA and announces their affair, and that she intends to "have him" and Condidit's wife goes into a rage. Condidit's wife comes to town. Wife has Extreme Row with Condidit, and demands that CLevy be removed from their lives. Condidit knows CLevy has "something" on him, and is concerned she will either go public, or make a mess of his life in some other way. Chandra is a very insistant and demanding woman, and he is tired of having problems with her.

He calls CLevy and tells her that wifey is here, and has asked for a divorce. He will contact her later with details, but that she has got to meet with him prior to going to CA. He tells her to meet him about 1/4 mile north of Klingle Mansion, but will give her the time later, since he has an important meeting with Chaney. She agrees, and waits for his call - or prearranged signal.

Now this is a possible permutation to the scenario: He arranges with his "biker" friends to be there in case he needs them, and for them to keep out of sight.

The signal is given, and CLevy is off. Probably by cab, or he sent his "driver". Cabs have records, and since none have been forthcoming, it is probable that his "driver" picked her up. If it had been Condidit who picked her up, she would not have needed to look up the directions, as he would have led her there.

The driver takes her as close as possible, and CLevy walks to the Mansion, gets her bearings, and heads north, as directed. She sees Condidit, and heads for him. They meet, he acts happy to see her and begins the lies of getting a divorce etc. He wants to "have her" but since he likes the bondage stuff, he brought some "rope" to play with. She eagerly agrees, trusting him as he ties up her hands. Once bound and used, and partially clad now, he gets up...and tells her the truth. He has never intended to leave his wife, is NOT getting a divorce, that she must never ever be in his life again.

Still bound, CLevy gets hysterical, and tries to hit him but is not able to. He pushes her down and she strikes her head on a nearby rock. He then uses the previously removed leotard to tie up her legs. Now he signals for the bikers to move in, and tells them to have at it, and make sure when they're done, that what's left of her isn't found. Bikers gather, enjoy, and then dump her body down the hillside, tossing the walkman and other clothing over as well.

It's possible that she was still alive when tossed down the hillside, but badly injured. Maybe even beaten. If she was killed first, I suspect her throat was cut. -------------------------

That's my theory, based on what I've read about the jerk Condidit, his associations with bikers, his kinks, and his narcissism and self importance. Also, I've woven in the facts of the case, the found body and site - as we know them. (It is subject to changes/modification based on any new evidence.)

I think they are trying to find Condit before they call it a homicide, suddenly Mr. Condit cannot be found... hmmm I wonder if they have searched Rock Creek Park for him yet?

Just check under any rock, and you'll find the Condit Slime...He's a despicable character...who IMHO, is complicit in this interns murder....I believe Chandra was tightening the screws...if you get my drift...

The blanket on the floor by the door and the end of all traces of her at the curb in front of her appartment seem to say she left with somone or was taken. Of course the security video was erased so we will never know for sure.

What I want to know is:

Up until now Condit had a rational reason to be doing strange things in the caverns of remote Virginia in the middle of the night, i.e., it was thought that he was burying her body there.

But if that wasn't the reason, then, what was a member of the Intelligence Committee doing there?,
Whom did he plan to meet there?

Is it possible that there might be something, totally different and potentially much bigger than Chandra Levy going on with Condit?

I dont believe the pregnant Chandra was the motive. Pregnancy is not an issue for ambitious women like Chandra Levy. Ever! It is just a bump in the road that needs to be fixed. She would have been at an abortionist's faster than you could take a breath. No, preganacy is too small a stake for Levy. If she were killed by Condit, it was something bigger (in their eyes).

ET - I am one that truly believes that her apartment was cleaned by someone that had a key to the apartment (the murder had her keys or condit had a key, plus master key sets are easy to get), but I do not buy into the someone used her computer, why not just take the computer and dump it after you have destoryed the hard drive? Besides why sit in an apartment of someone you just killed or you know is dead from 9am to 1pm. Search the apartment and take the computer and get out then destory the hard drive in it and dump it.

The comforter again I have an answer, it was clean from what I understand, they did tested it and I think they determined that it had been recently washed and that she may have washed while she surfing the internet that day and she went to the laundry room to get just before she left the apartment, maybe she just open the apartment door and dumped in there by the door on the floor, so she could catch up with whoever at the park on time. Maybe she was on her way out and remembered it sitting in the dryer in the laundry room, but was running late so ran to get and just threw it by the door inside the apartment. Remember to this was a studio apartment, very small... have you seen the video of it yet or pictures of it?
