What I want to know is:

Up until now Condit had a rational reason to be doing strange things in the caverns of remote Virginia in the middle of the night, i.e., it was thought that he was burying her body there.

But if that wasn't the reason, then, what was a member of the Intelligence Committee doing there?,
Whom did he plan to meet there?

Is it possible that there might be something, totally different and potentially much bigger than Chandra Levy going on with Condit?

What I want to know is:

If Condit is innocent why did his lawyer insist that he take a lie-detector test not approved by the investigating police. Instead, Condit's lawyer arranged for a private investigator to conduct the lie-detector test. Is the reasoning that Condit was just trying to be helpful? If that is to be believed, do Condit's other actions coincide with the acts of a sincerely helpful person?

Assuming for the moment that Condit wasn't sincerely trying to be helpful, what was the reason or motive for the unapproved lie detector test? To hinder or obstruct the investigation? If he is innocent it is all the more reason to take an approved lie-detector test rather than the unapproved test that would bring additional scrutiny and doubt about his innocence.

BTW, I'm not totally up to speed on this case but I read on another thread wherein one poster said that the skull was separated from the rest of the skeleton. As I understand it they matched the skull's teeth with Chandra's dental records. So it has been proven that the skull is Chandra's. What about the skeleton? That said, a DNA test on the skeleton needs to be compared to Chandra's DNA.

Another girl friend possibly? Or maybe he was visiting one of the undisclosed bunkers located in the DC area as part of his job and was forbidden by law from revealing it.

I personally think you are right. I think the "other" has something to do with why Condit was in Luray. He was also on the argricultural committee and I've heard of federalizing land down there, so the "other" could be any number of things. Since Levy was found in the park, I no longer think Condit killed her. Before I wasn't sure. I think had he known where her body was, he would have had it moved to a safer location. Instead, he wasn't sure what was going on but suspected the people involved in his "other" activities took care of Levy for some reason and he was down in Luray to meet with a contact to learn more. His watch still figures in this some way too, in a way that could link him to the murder. I'm just not sure how.
