Fine Christian example - fine Christian witness. A flawed person tries to do right by her child and gets slapped for it - the child gets punished as well.Baloney, the mother signed on to the precepts of the school, the fact that she is a stripper is contradictory to the values set by the school. Being a stripper can never be right for the child. If the Mother does not quit being a stripper the school has the right to remove the child bec SHE undermines what the school is trying to teach the child.
Its the same as if I joined a church but decided to be a drunkard and was unrepentant. The church has every right to throw me out.

My, you are quite the statist. You think the school should be forced by law to accept every student without any choice just so the little dears can take advantage of the school. What ever happened to freedom of association and the right to private property? You socialists will never be happy as long as we are free. My, you have quite the imagination there Appy
It's funny, you mention Freedom, yet you actively defend Pastor Busy Body and crew for attempting to deny the Freedom of this Woman to actively support her child.
Gee, you Authoritarians will not be happy as long as us heathens haven't been Relaxed properly...

"Nah, I find it Authoritarian to use a patently illegal Religious based Ethics Statements to justify monitoring people's off hours activities."Reminds me of a local Mennonite church that excommunicated one of it's members because a fellow member of the congregation saw him at the Pizza Hut, drinking a beer with his pizza. True story.

I'm always amazed at people who have a 3rd grade knowledge of the bible... yet feel qualified to instruct pastors and churches as to their biblical christian responsibility.
I'm not claiming to be a biblical authority, numbnuts, and if you if you care to read any of my posts on this thread, you'll find that I came down on the school's side of the issue. You're so g-damn eager to smite me you didn't read a word I wrote. Nice christian attitude, buddy.

So, then Opine for me, if you will, on his actions concerning the young man stripped of the Valedictorian Privlege, because his haircut was too short...(same Headmaster...)

Are those the only alternatives? Give me a break.
I don't know about this particular woman, but I do know that most men and women who try to break away from the sex industry have a very difficult time of it unless they have a lot of support. Clearly, this woman can't count on the support of her church.
How about just getting a regular job?
All right, I'll pose the question to you, too. If you had an open position with dozens of qualified applicants and one stripper with few skills and little or no education, to whom would you give the job? One of the dozens of qualified applicants who have suffered from the Clinton recession through no fault of their own, or the stripper?
Personally, I think the best thing this woman can do now is go back to school during the days to improve herself and her chances of escaping the flesh trade. This probably does include continuing to strip, at least for awhile, but I say, better the short term humiliation to increase her chances of providing a better life for herself and her child.
Funny, but so many single moms seem to make a living (not necessarily a well paid living) without doing any of the above.
Many of the women who resort to stripping have few if any other legal options. Personally, I applaud them for not being on welfare.
Stripping is no way to make a living, if you want to be a decent person.
Maybe this woman is more concerned about being a decent mom than being a decent person. Certainly providing for your child and her education is honorable, though this woman's means are questionable.

Nice rant.

"Thou shalt not cutteth thy hair in ridiculous formations, for they are excessively whackie and may cause much unwanted and untoward mirth and amusement. Nor shall thou pierceth thy schnozz, or thy nipples, or the evil nether regions of a woman, or getteth the dreaded "Prince Albert," for verily I say to you these are the sins of rebellion and are quite odius indeed."

NFW . . . < shudder >.

The lady can do whatever she wants to the child. She cannot demand that someone educate her child against their wishes.

I just find it incongruous that she is so vehement that her child have a CHRISTIAN education, that she must fund with a job stripping.I smell a setup. I wonder how they found out and if she had something to do with their finding out about it.
There's a Christian school in town that has rules about student conduct outside of school that will invite suspension. They also have a suggestion in their rule book that parents should please dress modestly when they pick up their children from school, but it doesn't stop a few mothers who go to pick up their children in t-shirts over bikinis or real short shorts.(this is in Florida). The worse part is that I see the little girls of those few mothers and the little girls have embarrassed, pained expressions when their mothers pick them up dressed like that (at that age, don't tell me the little girls have been brainwashed by the Christian school, modesty IS natural for children after potty training age.) Maybe the exotic dancer dressed like one after hours too.
The frumpy hausfraus theory doesn't wash either. Often the modestly dressed are much better looking and sexier looking than the skimpy dressers (perhaps the skimpy dressing is a sign of insecurity?)

Outback Church. "No right. Just rules."

Certainly providing for your child and her education is honorable, though this woman's means are questionable. You think that children love the money when their parents are strippers, x-rated movie actors, pimps and prostitutes? That's why Dr. Laura has an audience and you don't.

In the same phrase you admit you're not a "biblical authority"... yet you are ready to define "christian attitude".

The frumpy hausfraus theory... I think that was OPH.

I have yet to meet a 5 yr old who is capable of understanding "stripping". Most of them don't even understand "work", only that their parent(s) have to go somewhere every day.
I think the mom should be using the opportunity to go to college, or get some sort of training so that she can change jobs before the child is old enough to comprehend.
