Prayer Request-My Sister's Terminal Lung Disease

My sister was diagnosed with a rare lung disease on Friday, Interstatial Lung Disease. The prognosis is terminal. She is only 29 and in otherwise good health.

Appearantly, an infection, the nature of which is unknown, is producing a constant state of pneumonia. Since the doctors don't know the nature of the infection, they can not stop it. It is causing scar tissue to form all throughout the lungs. Scar tissue isn't very elastic and will not permit oxygen to travel from the lungs to the blood.

End result is that the doctor said in 1 to 2 years she will suffocate.

Requesting prayers for her and any medical info that could be of help/leads in stopping this infection before it ruins the remaining lung tissue.

Thank you for your prayers and link....I did some searching on the topic before, but that was before the prognosis was so bad. Just now recovering from the shock and requesting prayers....getting ready for the fight now...will be doing lots of reading on the net and calling. Your link will help me do that. Thanks!

Right off the top of my head, garlic is purported to reach the lungs within 24 hours, and is supposed to be a powerful antibiotic and antifungal substance. Vitamin C, zinc, are good immune boosters (take on full stomach and maybe no more than 25 mg. zinc per day - although I take 50-60 the first few days of a cold - as it interferes with copper absorption). Vitamin E supplements are purported to help healing and prevent scarring. If she's on steroids, she also needs acidophilus or yogurt to replace the GOOD bacteria/yeasts in her body. Get a book by two doctors, James F. and Phyllis A. Balch, Prescription for Nutritional Healing. The latest update has recently come out. It's our health bible. Also find a good nutritional and/or homeopathic practitioner. What a blessing she has accepted Jesus! We will keep her and your family in our prayers.

Love that book! Also, glutathione is incredibly important for the immune system. I take a product called Immunocal to raise my glutathione levels. I swear this stuff is a miracle in a pouch. I don't know how to post a link, but if you do a google search on Immunocal, there is all kinds of information out there.
