Prayer Request-My Sister's Terminal Lung Disease

My sister was diagnosed with a rare lung disease on Friday, Interstatial Lung Disease. The prognosis is terminal. She is only 29 and in otherwise good health.

Appearantly, an infection, the nature of which is unknown, is producing a constant state of pneumonia. Since the doctors don't know the nature of the infection, they can not stop it. It is causing scar tissue to form all throughout the lungs. Scar tissue isn't very elastic and will not permit oxygen to travel from the lungs to the blood.

End result is that the doctor said in 1 to 2 years she will suffocate.

Requesting prayers for her and any medical info that could be of help/leads in stopping this infection before it ruins the remaining lung tissue.

I know she has been in the hospital many times before she was diagnoised on Friday with 1-2 years expected to live. All the docs were really trying to get a handle on this. I know they had discussed fungals, but they thought it is more of an autoimmune (sp?) deal...Thanks thought..it is a path that needs to be double checked!!

Lord, thank you for the prayers of all these people for Sarah, my sister. Please strengthen her husband as well. Give Sarah's husband patience and wisdom.

Hear my prayer for AUsome Joy's husband. His right eye Lord. Please work Your healing power to allow this man to regain sight in his right eye. Funnel Your healing power into his eye. We thank You for hearing other's prayers to save the eye Lord....now we ask, if it is Your will, for this man to regain his sight in this eye. We pray, for Your Glory Lord, heal this man...in the name of Christ we pray. Amen.

Thank you. Wisdom. Yes. That is one thing that is needed. I guess this thing is classified as idiopathic, meaning they don't know what is causing it. If they knew, things might be different. I pray for the Lord's wisdom for the doctors...that they may figure this out. Thank you Ohio!

Lord, please place Your wisdom in the doctors or someone here that may put forward a viable explanation of what is causing this illness. Only You, Lord, can cure my sister. Please grant us wisdom.

Interstitial lung disease may be caused by unknown infections. I recommend a desperation treatment for people with unknown etiology of infection: a month treatment with Doxycycline 100mg bid (twice a day). When the specialists would give up on my patients with undiagnosable infections or chronic fatigue syndromes, I would try that. And half of them got well. Later we learned it was the preferential treatment for lots of mystery diseases caused by rickettsia and other especially tiny germs, like the one that is now know to cause Lyme disease.

Nothing to lose. Meanwhile I will pray for her.
