Fox News is reporting that 25 Islamic Radical terrorists have entered the country since March, as stowaways on cargo vessels of major carriers, docking in Miami, California, and I believe Virginia. They will brief law enforcement officials tomorrow in a classified briefing about the reliability of their information.
I am hoping I have not duplicated a post. I haven't seen anything on line yet about this. Fox has discussed it three times in the last half hour.

Surely you don't think the oil companies would pass up a chance like this to raise prices? No, the Republicans start foreign wars to increase profits for Big Oil.

To: All,
Why we shouldn't be surprised...
A U.S. Customs official said in the Orange County Register (3/15/97):
"Ships are subject to random searches and shippers must submit documents listing ship and container contents. But there are thousands of containers which come into the ports each month. We cannot inspect each and every container - we have to accept what is on the documents as a true representation of what is in that cargo."

No threat. It was chili day in the cafeteria.

I wonder if they're not going to do something similar to what happened in Russia on V-day. What if they lob a bomb into one of our Independence Day parades?

You know, your sarcasm is not helping the situation.
Sarcasm is the vaseline of social intercourse.

Now, now, now...
They were just trying to get here before 245(i) goes into effect, so they can be with their faaaaamilieees, who are probably already here.

And now, the Shell Refinery in Houston is on fire. Yikes!Nuthin unusual about this. Has nuthin to do with terrorists and everything to do with gouging us. Haven't you noticed? Every late spring/early summer there is some sort of "disaster" in the oil business. A refinery fire, a broken pipeline, a shortage of some key ingredient. This so the oil cos can drive up the price of gas just in time for the heavy summer driving season. Tain't nuthin new. As I recall it was a 'refinery fire in the midwest' that cause gas prices to flirt with/exceed $2/gal last summer. Can you spell b-e-n-d-o-v-e-r??

BUMP!! Hey, if you missed it, go back and read post #45. Right on Gritty!!
I have posited it will be a small extremely dirty nuke in a van or truck at the Indy 500. Take out 300-400K folks all at once, to say nothing about all the wind-carried downstream mayhem. (Gulp, I live in Louisville.)

"Paint thinner" smell can be from human breath - I think it's called ketosis. It can come from malnutrition, extreme dieting or diabetes.

Very interesting. As for the still to be captured Pakistani "crew members" who snuck in at Newport News, I was also wondering about that. On a somewhat related note, about one month ago the FBI aprehended a suspect at Lawrence Livermore for nuclear espionage - he had ISI contacts. Something is rotten in Islamabad....

My father said he heard something on the news about a Mexican Kenworth hauling cyanide that was hijacked. He also said they found some truck in Washington with residue of TNT on the wheel and C4 on the gear shift. Anybody else heard it?

They don't even have far to drive. Looks like there are Al Quada near enough to each entry place to be there to pick them up.

Since it takes a while for ships to get here, how about an inspection team (2 to 3 people) on each ship, to examine both the crates and the crew, it before it docks in our ports. Maybe have a dog with them, too? (A dog with a good nose and sharp teeth!)
(I'm not trying to be funny. If a ship wants to come here, they play by our rules.)

This is also an excellent idea, as was the one about fumigating containers with really toxic stuff.
Please send your idea to Homeland Security//I think it has merit (job creation as a side benefit!...2 for 1!).
