Posted on 05/04/2002 5:13:56 PM PDT by Hillary's Lovely Legs
The WHCA represents the White House press corps in its dealings with the administration on coverage-related issues.
A nine-member board of directors, elected by correspondents, addresses access to the chief executive; coverage arrangements; work space arrangements; logistics and costs for press travel to accompany a president on the road.
The WHCA also holds an annual dinner. The 2002 dinner will be held on May 4 at 9:30pm on C-Span. Drew Carey is the featured entertainment.

I Think Carey is doing great! Esp. the bit with Dick Cheney. "I had had an angioplasty too..but they left MY heart in!" Cheney was laughing. "I'm glad you're laughing.. I have a family." LOL

I don't care for his humor any time.
To: Unknown Freeper
He's getting better - when he was checking things off in Revelations - that was pretty funny.
To: Carolinamom
I love his show, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?".

...or the Catholic joke.
To: Burr5
Yeah, he's not that bad. I've never really cared for him, but he's basically decent filler. I suspect he's conservative, or at least he's patriotic.

It's all in bad taste, IMO. Hollywood/media people are NOT funny. Not one of them. I despise the press, celebrities, and everybody associated with them.

He is ending this well. I didn't know that he was in the Marine Reserves.

The Robert Blake joke was pretty good.

I would't want to follow Dubya's annual slideshow, that is the kiss of death for comedians-even Darell Hammond barely pulled it off last year and he is one of the funniest guys in sketch comedy (along with Will Ferell)

No, it seems that he has a genuine dislike of President Bush and it is making people uncomfortable.
