[vanity] Anyone watching Nightline w/ Arafat? Sickening!
Posted on 05/01/2002 8:57:46 PM PDT by stuck_in_new_orleans
Absoutely sickening, but what else is new from Nightline. Part One had Koppel and his amazing helmet hair interviewing Arafat. Sick sick sick. Arafat is sputtering and seems to have some kind of serious mental problem. Maybe its becaue hes been hold up, maybe hes in early stages of Demensia or something. Blaming the Jews and Koppel just sits back and lets this sick animal get away with anything ala Larry King. Then, at the end Arafat pulls some kid onto his lap and kisses her on the cheek. Koppel seems a bit weirded out. Maybe hes getting the vision of Saddam Hussein before the gulf war when he had the small westerner kids on his lap and how that reporter got railed for that love fest interview. Koppel ends it and will talk to Sharon next.
I would have added some serious excerpts from the interviwe but there wasnt any, just Arafat looking really scary.

Anyone elses thoughts?

Nightline is not on yet on the West Coast, but thanks for the warning. I will make sure to miss it, because I would go ballistic!
I detest the media that allows this hatred to spew out of his mouth almost as much as I detest Arafat!
Can you imagine if someone else was saying all of this? It would be considered a hate crime, yet the media protects this scum, and he gets the Nobel Peace prize!

My thoughts-tommorows suicide bombing blood drips from Powells hands, only in the international press do you see how much the US squeezed for this.

Did koppel forget to tell arafat he was jewish?

He does sputter. And there is something about his eyes that causes me to cringe. I know it isn't cool to say this, but truth is, when I watch arafat speaking I imagine the feeling I get is akin to watching pure evil, a demon in action.

I don't like Koppel, but I think it's great he let Arafat rave on. In fact, watching this lunatic several times this afternoon and evening made my day.
At last, the American people were able to see a real madman up close and personal, thanks to the lib TV hosts, who, I'm sure, thought they were doing the Pig-eyed Pali a favor.

Arafat has never before been exposed for the nutbag he is. In the past Arafat was always given a place at the table with no pre conditions. Now Arafat has been reduced to the criminal he is and he is being shown in the light he deserves.
Arafat can spew all he wants, but the facts are now in the light of day, he is no longer being treated with respect, in fact he has been told he has to prove himself before he gets an ounce of respect. Arafat has never been lower. He is at the end of his rope and we will see what he does with it.... TIME WILL TELL

Koppel as usual was a biased ass. He never failed to challenge the answers of Sharon, even calling him evasive. That would be fine if he did the same for Arafat, but instead Ted kissed Arafat's ass, laughed at his stupid attempts at humor, and in genral appeased the fool. And at the end when Yassar made a phony apology for his ranting by claiming he was so shaken by the Church of the Nativity situation, Ted told him "that's ok, I know you are emotional right now". Every liberal media hack in the world stoops over to kiss this evil man's ass, never calling him to account for the lies and murder.

Arafat sure did make a fool of himself though. Did you catch the part where he got in Koppel's face and told him "You are talking to GENERAL Arafat now!"
I have liberal commie in-laws - it's amazing the love affair they have with the Arafats of the world - lunatic wild-eyed dictators.

Brit Hume showed some of the interview, but I had it on mute.....but the picture was worth a thousand words - only exposing him for what he is - a monster!

Then, at the end Arafat pulls some kid onto his lap and kisses her on the cheek. Koppel seems a bit weirded out. Maybe he thought the kid would explode.

"Is this acceptable? I ask you, is this acceptable?" If he were not a homicidal maniac, he would be funny.

Arafat is a drug addict and undergoing some serious withdrawals. I think he may also have a neurological problem. Didn't some Senator or Rep who's a doctor say so last week?

I agree with you. I think the more the world sees of Arafat the better. Kind of like Gore during the debates. Keep feeding the guy more rope because he's tying his own noose.

It could be that Koppel was just letting Arafat cook his own goose. Letting him go on in his demented state gave everyone good insight into the crazed state of Palestinian "leadership."
