Attack of the Clones: Will You See It?

Will you go see StarWars Episode II: Attack of Clones when it is released May 16th?

How do you feel it will measure up to the original trilogy? What did you think of the Phantom Menace? Do you think this film will be better/worse than Phantom Menace?

I will go see it opening day, like the fanboy I am.

My kids are already begging to go on opening day. Maybe we'll do a late morning or early afternoon feature. We homeschool, so it is easy for us to get in before the crowds!! I am really looking forward to it, though I was struck in the previews by how much Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan looks like Kenneth Branagh!

Heck, yeah- will be seeing it. I saw Phantom Menace multiple times, because it was the first one out after 15 years and because the kids wanted to see it more than once. I thought it was both over-hyped and over-panned. Jar-Jar sucked, there was some weakness, but I bought the characters, which was one of the bigger tests for me.

Um... actually Hayden Christensen is about a foot or more taller than Natalie Portman.

I can't help but laugh whenever I hear her name... I guess it's lingering residual effects from one of my after-school jobs at one of the Temple-Eastex plants...

I don't see the connection between paper and padme... Maybe you could spell it out for me...

Well, never mind.. it was, as I said after-school, which means that it was a sophmoric connection, at best, and the particular plant I worked at didn't deal with paper... (although I DID have a job later at the paper mill, and at a woolen mill, and a furniture factory, but I digress...

I'll go see it, but not the first day. Phantom Menace (which I took time off work to see the first day it was released) taught me not to get my hopes too high about this series. Lucas is going to have to prove to me that he can recapture the epic feel of the original trilogy. If this movie is no better than Phantom Menace, I'll probably skip the third movie in the series altogether.

Spiderman and The Two Towers are the movies I'm most looking forward to this year.

I won't go see it. I probably won't even watch it on video. I am still mad about the PC bunk I sat through with Jar- Jar and the environmental protection agency in the last Star Wars.
