Received two cell calls from Dave. The stage is set. The flags are waving. The weather is great. They're ready to Roll! Around 0945 the crowd was 50+ including Kristinn, sauropod, Leadpenny, Angelwood, Exit 148, GoreWarVet, Dutchy, Congressman Billy Bob, Black Agnes, TaxMan, TGSL DeComa, WhoKnowsWhatEvil, FireBrand, Country Dummy, Stan Waite, Pro2aMom, 0351Dog. (please pardon any mispelled "names" or omissions. The cell connections were poor).

Around 1015 the crowd was continuing to grow, with some spill over from the Peacenik/anarchist nitwits. Dave reports that it was the port-o-potties that attracted them. But our fearless Freepers labelled the doors "Patriots" and Patriot Women". It seems to be turning them away.

It's too bad they didn't request coverage from RadioFR...we could have broadcast the whole thing LIVE. We're looking at purchasing equipment that can stream video to the internet so video as well as audio at future events like this can be broadcast to all FReepers!

I watched some of it, but started to get ill. It was sickening.

The real issue will be how this is reported to America. The bias is just overwhelming.

Thanks for link to C-Span. Needed to finish my email blast to all of the tv news media asking "where is the coverage of those who don't hate America"? I almost fell off my chair when I heard cnn, of all stations, mention that the "DC Chapter of Free Republic" is holding a Rally in Support of our Troops - couldn't believe it. Of course, where is the coverage? Freepers are too well behaved to make good copy. The only coverage we will probably get is when the nuts complain they were discriminated against using the port-o-potties!

I used to think these "anti-war" nuts were just comical; now they are just frightening to me. How many professional agitators are part of their group? The "Free Palestine" protestors with "emblematic" scarves tied around their heads just send shivers down my spine. I'm surprised we haven't seen that parents have tied fake bombs to their children. What could make a parent do that? (No matter what their hardships!!! I am sick of hearing "But you must understand that we [homicide-bomb] people because we have been so oppressed...") Okay, off my soap box for now. Freepers, stay safe.

CNN and MSNBC mentioning the rallies as ALL protests against America. Pretending that no one is there to defend our country.

How horrifying to hear people inciting others to murder and maim right there in our capitol and not a word of condemnation. Watched a few minutes of a black man praising the intifada and praying it continues.

Rally Update:

Niger Innis from the Congress of Racial Equality and our fellow FReeper, TrueBlackMan, just gave two fantastic speaches. Dave reported things were getting ugly with radical disrupters. He also wanted me to state that when Staff Sergeant Breman was speaking, the leftist radicals just turned their backs and walked away. They couldn't stand to see true good.

Our rally is scheduled to finex at 1500 hours. BTW, my live on site reporter is Dave Dilegge, not the Dave quoted above in the lamestream press reports.

Thanks, done. I wonder if those who are protesting our military actions are aware of how ironic it is to be marching against those who have and are safeguarding their rights to do so. Wish there was a big sign in front of them: "Thank a military person for protecting your right to act like an idiot."

I said (among other things) that it is especially disgraceful that they are broadcasting these hate America' groups but not the 'Patriots for America' Rally at a time when our brave military are risking their lives to root out terrorism.

I just saw the coverage on CNN headline news. They interviewed Angelwood and she did a great job. They put the camera in a place with only 5 people in the background. The reporter mentioned at least twice that it was a very small group and never showed the stage. At least they showed one of the pro-terrorist scum yelling at a cop and trying to get into the freeper rally.

I still remember seeing these kind of idiots in downtown Chicago in 1969, weeks after I got out of the Navy.

I left during the Congressman's speech. No offense intended but he did ramble on for a bit. The weather up till that point was quite nice though the constant interuption of some speeches by lefty idiots was irritating to say the least. Who carried what sign? I was a bit bashful about simply introducing myself but it was nice to be in the company of other conservatives.

Report to all: I just came from the Rally Site. Great speakers. They were all great! Staff Sargeant who helped at the Pentagon Bombing was among the best. God bless the U.S. Park Police, who once again did a very professional job of keeping the lunatics away and making things very safe.

You're right, it IS horrifying. I turned it off after about fifteen seconds of the female wacko in the beginning of the coverage, ranting about Israeli "atrocities" against those po', innocent, Palestinians.
