Dear Mr. President:

We write out of deep concern over your response to the recent events in the Middle East. While we appreciate the importance of sending Secretary of State Colin Powell to the region, we are troubled by certain developments that have occurred during his trip. By urging the resumption of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA), before the PA officially abandons their policy of suicide homicides against civilian populations, you have dramatically changed your steadfast policy towards not meeting with Chairman Arafat until he commits to a cease?fire.

As long as Arafat continues to support and fund terrorists, it is difficult to conceive that any progress can be made from meeting with him. Most worrisome, a meeting between Secretary Powell and Chairman Arafat in light of today's attack in Jerusalem validates the contention that Arafat is gaining ground through his strategy of terror.

If Secretary Powell meets with Chairman Arafat, we hope that the Secretary will make it clear that this is his final opportunity. In the past, Mr. Arafat has proven himself to be unreliable in following up with commitments to peace. Consequently, we believe that Secretary Powell should demand that Mr. Arafat act to eradicate the terrorist networks operating under his authority. Secretary Powell should make clear that if he does not comply, the United States will sever all ties with him.

Finally, we are dismayed by the pressure on Israel to withdraw from Palestinian towns before the Israeli military has had a chance to complete its operations. As the United States knows from its experience in Afghanistan, an operation of this kind takes time. If Israel is not allowed to complete its campaign, more Israeli lives will be vulnerable to future rounds of suicide bombings. If there is to be peace, Israel needs to isolate those elements of the Palestinian Authority that threaten its existence.

Dear Hillary and cohorts,

Please rest assured that I have avoided making the same mistakes the prior administration had by inviting Arafat to dinner and making him comfortable at Camp David. I know and you knew at the time that Arafat is a terrorist and I am careful to hold him at arms length nor will I accept campaign donations from him or his party as you did. Please don't lecture me on the Middle East as you or your husband were certainly not experts and are in no position to instruct.

I agree with the letter too. I see nothing in there to disagree with. The United States is being hypocritical in this situation and it is becoming very clear that we are not totally serious about wiping out terrorism. And all for the sake of appeasing a few Arab countries that will never truly be our friends anyway. Why, for once, can't we just do what is right and to heck with the consequences?

Hillary signs a letter, what's really going on behind the scene? I would have to ask her to take a polygraph to be sure she's not influencing Arafat through his wife. I don't trust the woman.

I agree, the questions is why? I don't know but I am convinced it was the wrong way for Bush to go.

Every morning, Bill Clinton jogs near his home in NY.

And on each run, he goes past a hooker standing on the same street corner, day after day.
Apprehensive, he would brace himself as he approached her for what was most certainly about to follow. 

 

"Fifty dollars!" she would shout from the curb.

"No. Five dollars!" fired back Clinton. 

This ritual between the ex-prez and the hooker continued for several days. 

 

He'd run by, and she'd holler, "Fifty dollars." 

 

He'd yell back, "Five dollars!"

One day,  Hillary decided that she wanted to accompany Bill on his morning run.  As the jogging couple neared the now infamous street corner, Bill suddenly realized the "pro" would bark her $50 offer for all to hear (including Hillary) and he would have to come up with a very good explanation for his wife, the junior Senator.

 

As they jogged into the turn that would take them past her, Bill became overcome with anxiety on how to handle the
situation.  Sure enough there she was -- standing where she always did.

 

Bill tried to evade the streetwalker's eyes as she looked up at the jogging pair.

Then from the sidewalk,she yelled to Bill:  "There you go!  See what you get for five bucks?"

Did he fall into a trap set by the Democrats, or did he set a trap that Hillary fell into?

Did they under-estimate him again, or did she anticipate that it has often been the democrat's mistake to do so?

My gut tells me Bush is a step ahead of all the rats.....but I've been wrong before.

The above statement from the letter just shows you how two-faced these people are. Besides, aren't these the same people who were calling for the President to be "engaged". Now that he is, they are unhappy about that. There is no pleasing these people, and I cannot figure out why we ever try.

Hillary is still hungry for power. Bill didn't get it for her, so now she is playing the Congress; or at least anyone in the congress who will listen to her whining. First of all, Hillary's agreeing with the President to his face is just a game; all the time she is stabbing him in the back, and the antics of Daschle are the result of her directions. She still calls the shots in the dem/lib party. Also, I believe she is behind the McKinney fiasco too. These people are so power hungry, they will DO ANYTHING, to bring down the President's numbers. So far, nothing is sticking.

Why isn't anything sticking? If you want that answer, you will have to go all the way back to impeachment. I'm sorry, but we have to revisit that mess in order to find this answer. During impeachment the dems/media were screaming all over the place that 75% of the public didn't want Clinton removed from office, and they thoughtfully paraded their polls to prove their point. Well, almost exactly one year later, the numbers were in total reverse. Suddenly, 75% of the public now thought leaving the president in office was a mistake. Why did that happen? Well ... during that year, the public had been made aware of a lot of the mischief the president had been in and their opinion of him began to change.

The dems have never figured this out - they are still under the assumption that the same 75% still want Bill to be in office. They are delusional, but it explains why they are throwing anything they can think of at President Bush and none of it is working any more.

This current attack doesn't have anything to do with how the President is treating Israel or treating Arafat. It has to do with just throwing anything they can think of at the President to see if the public will rally around it.

The public is finally awake - it's only the dems who haven't figured it out yet.
