Daddy Bill Clinton took his daughter and her beau, the pride of Belvedere Ca., Ian Klaus, around the new Tate Modern Art Gallery in London last week.
Says a conviently placed Londoner to a London paper, 'President Clinton seemed comfortable with Ian and glad that his daughter found a decent man.'
The trio toured the galleries with the rest of the public, but with a security detail of 12
Bubba bought drinks for the young couple.
Chelsea and Ian, who met at a rally of students at Oxford post-9/11, are expected to announce their engagement by June
In case you are wondering, Klaus's parents, the eminent and respectable Robin and Patricia of Belvedere, are both longtime Democrats.

I can see what attracted Klaus in the first place ---- big time, big name, whirlwind center of attention, (all shallow, what-the-h*ll-why-not stuff), but I wonder what real values and beliefs an actual marriage is being based on.

I will wait to buy presents until after I get my announcement and invitation to the wedding.

Should I wear a white or black garbage bag to the wedding?

Daisy Scarlett made a good point over at the Guild thread on this, Chelsea's publicity is becoming embarassing from her world travels and this is a way to score some PR points while getting the daughter back to the states under Mommy's wing (hopefully in Washington)
We all know how Clinton liabilities end up..Vince Foster, Buddy the Dog, Jim McDougal etc.

I'm putting you and Finatan in charge of the men's outfits.

I know. This is going to be fun! We will probably be able to pick out any ideas Hillary has for "her" administration by who is and is not invited and/or where they sit!

One of the ways we will know this is true is if there are suddenly lots of calls for designers to help the Hollywood stars with their attire.
One can only hope they are as successful as they were at the Oscars. Har!

Ground Zero would be a lovely place to hold the reception.Lots of open space there now and Chelsea could point out the spot where she jogged on 9/11.

This is gonna be a real dog of an affair..................
To: Howlin
As a beginning, we, of course, will ask Miss Marple to be our protocol expert; we are asking codebreaker, mountaineer and daisyscarlett to be our head "news/gossip" reporters. I will be asking kcvl and Dog to be our chief investigators, since they both can find absolutely everything on the internet. We'll be needing LOTS of investigation into the backgrounds, views, opinions of the bridal party, the guest, and, needless to say, we'll all have to scout through the news, i.e. newspapers, radio, and TV, to find out what is saying what to whom about whom! I am tuning up my voice to sing "Here comes the Bride...yada yada...we get to save the Secret agent money cha cha cha"....here come the Bride, all dressed in " OOOOHHHmy goodness moms black pantsuit...oppppppppppssssss

Thanks for the "invitation" to monitor the coming "event". I want to know who is getting the scoop on the groom.
