"I'm fascinated by Bush's tie," Berger said Thursday after reviewing a webcast of the speech. Berger was struck by how austere it made the president look, and called the color "a somber blue," a color of reconciliation and parliamentarian consensus. With Bush's white shirt, Berger pointed out, the president was dressed in the colors of the Israeli flag.

Well today tells sort of a different story. In reply to GWB's request as of today that Israel withdraw immediately. According to the Israeli Spokesman, Raanan Gissin, Sharon acknowledges what his friend GWB ask, but Israel has a mission to complete. They will try to expedite, but it is a must that they complete their mission.

In semiotic parlance, Berger and Blonsky are "decoders." They are oracles of hidden meaning -- or, perhaps, they are completely full of it. Either way, they offer a fresh view on an event that has been otherwise diced-up by more conventional pundits.Good Lord. How 'bout listening to the man's words for once?? This ain't Clinton, ya know. ;-)

They will try to expedite, but it is a must that they complete their mission...Which is in line with Bush's request. It's tough to turn a large ship around quickly. Bush knows that. But the Arabs can stop haranguing Bush now. Arafat is still in his cage, yes?

You are defintely not a chess player (or poker either for that matter) or you would know what GW is up to.
Hyperanalyzing his every move will lead you astray the same as it does the opposition. It's already working on you but that's not much of a test.

Aren't you glad Gore is not President now? I am....:)

No. You need to learn your diplomatic language.
"Without Delay" is not the same as "Immediately". "Territories" is not the same as "All Territories".
"Palestinian Cities" is not the same as "Palestinian Territories", and obviously leaves room for troops to surround the cities once they do withdraw from the cities.

Blue stripe on a field of white. Gotta love it. That is diplomatic language.

At least Bush's choice of tie wasn't a special message to Monica.

Bubba wasn't making a speech on the Middle East. He was trolling for dates. That's all he ever did....

"Without Delay" is not the same as "Immediately". You must know something about giving specific individuals a nod to the sod. :-)

"Well, Sharon could be a girl's name, too. :-)" Yeah, so is Sandy! I swear, I don't know whether I'm laughing harder at this story about a clintonista reading a tie message, or Lott saying that the President will have to go to the Middle East. The press is a riot tonight!!
