My husband came across this on a lib forum somewhere last night. I didn't edit out the errors in spelling and grammar, so don't yell at me about them. Any comments and comebacks? :)

"I am proud to be one of the people that is going to work all my life to push progress on the human race."

This is the most telling statement for me. The elitist view that so many liberals have: they are the keepers of knowledge, who have to bring their enlightenment to the poor unwashed masses. Hillary Clinton could have written the statement. It is the theme of her "It Takes a Village" and typifies the liberal mindset.

Funny how the Constitution of the United States was a creation of a bunch of liberals who completely trusted the power of Government to do absolute good at all times.

(/sarcasm)

Be Seeing You,

Ironically, Galleo and Newton, are considered "Dead White Males" and thus are banished from our schools, because they fail the multicultural smell test. Those schools of course, now run by LIBERALS.

If I remember reading Newton's biography, wasn't he a very religious man? That would be a crime today in the world of academia.

Liberals exist to remind us all that it is very important to teach our children not to take drugs, to be responsible and that a mind is indeed a terrible thing to neglect.

The reason your spouse was lurking on a liberal forum is completely between the two of you...I would; however, reccomend the next time either of you stray into such territory, you go armed with "Joe 6-pack's Questions for Liberals."

Well, I'd have to say it's better than seeing the F word every other sentence like you see in the Democratic Underground. Then again, this sounds exactly like the writing of a very brainwashed young man or young lady--like 6th grade.

It's really sad, but what could we expect from someone who writes badly, with run-on sentences, spelling and punctation errors, and incoherent thought processes, anyway? I'm not counting the errors in the piece - but our resident homeschool moms could easily use this as a "correct the grammar" exercise for their children.

Don't argue with an idiot. It's a waste of time.

Any person that has even the slightest knowledge of the history of western civilization would know that conservative thinkers have always held the human race back from progress

ahem...Abraham Lincoln.

Native american men thought europeans were stupid because we let our wives sit in the house all day and not work in the field. Our conservative thinking fore fathers thought natives didn't know how to farm, well actually if the europeans had learned anything from them they would have realized that the indians were much smarter farmers.

Absolutely. As we all know, pre-Columbian Indians exported food all over the world in much greater quantities than present-day America does.

One only need to look at the Bradford Chronicles, to see what folly socialism, the new liberalism, was to those trying to establish a community. It was only when free market was established that the early colonies began to take hold.

Of course we've got the great liberal icons out there like Jesse Jackson, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Teddy Kennedy, Joe Liebermann, and Al Gore, who say one thing, but do the other...

Need I say more?

demanded that blacks be aloud

That explains a lot. :-)

indians were much smarter farmers.

I notice all the domesticated species of plants and animals we trace to early America versus Europe. uh huh :-)

Those are Just two liberals who were open minded enough to defy accepted reality

How does this guy know these two where liberals? I bet they where 100 times more conservative than he is.

And you can never forget the left wing liberals that first thought slavery was wrong and then demanded that blacks be aloud to vote and then women following that

The Republican conservatives gave blacks and women the right to vote not the Dems.

Native american men thought europeans were stupid because we let our wives sit in the house all day and not work in the field

Yes the liberals want all our wives working in the fields don't they. Thats why they try to make it so much harder to be a 1 income family. They want the women to be working for the common good and not for the good of the family. Communism pure and simple.

Is it the left or the right that believes that people should be able to do what the want... when they want to do it... as long as it hurts no one else?

Is it the left or the right that believes that human behavior must be limited for the good of all. Which side believes that the good of the group overrides the rights of the individual. Which side thinks that saying or believing things they disagree with is a HATE crime?

Which side, the left or the right, believes that government has the right to regulate what actions and trades a person may take up or engage in.

The idiot that wrote this does not understand it was the force of the ruling religious government that attacked Galileo.

This author has liberals and conservatives mixed up. Big powerful governments repress and oppress people. Limited and small govenments do not.

Which side is for limited small governments and which side is for big powerful governemnts.

Liberals always point out how big powerful governments are bad. Then turn around, with out missing a beat, and demand that what is needed is a big powerful government. Galileo knew who oppressed him. It was a big powerful government.

The author of this article is opposed to poisons but in favor of others drinking Hemlock.

Then their was Newton who was simple discounted as a weirdo because nobody was inteligent enough to understand what he was saying.

Clearly a product of public 'educashun'. If no one recognized Newton's accomplishments, then how come he and Liebnitz argued until their deaths about who was first to develop the mathematical techniques we call calculus? Certainly someone as enlightened as Newton wouldn't have bothered arguing the point if no one at all paid any attention to his work, right?

Also, if Newton was so great, then how come Liebnitz's notation for calculus is the one we use today instead of Newton's?

Riiiiight, their nation(s) were doing MUCH better than Europe. That's why the Injuns pushed us back out of America and rule the land even today.

I run across liberals like this on message boards on the net all the time. God knows I'm not the brightest bulb, but they're a bunch of total airheads. It seems that their brains are getting just enough oxygen to keep them alive, but not enough to help them think.

Once I was debating a liberal on a message board, and during that debate he informed me that the President voted on legislation, and the Congress signed or vetoed it. I pointed out that he had it completely backwards. That the Congress voted on legislation and the President signed or vetoed it. The liberal responded by telling me that I didn't know what I was talking about! From his constant mispellings, his lack of logic, his complete lack of knowledge in the constitution and government civics, his failure to grasp the realities of the news of the day, I could have sworn that I was debating a ten year old. 12 years old at the most. I looked up his member profile and was stunned to see that I was debating a man in his fifties!
