Prayers are needed for Freeper Homeschool Mama and her daughter, who were in a car accident yesterday. Their van was rear-ended and completely totaled. HS Mama will need a bunch of chiropractic work, but her daughter seems to be ok.

Just got word (via proxy from Brad's Gramma) that HS Mama is doing fine- other than being out cold from our wonderful pharmaceutical friends. LOL. HS Mama passes along her thanks to everyone!

Fine? I'm FINE? Well, isn't that just like Gramma to MINIMIZE my dire condition. Well...I never!
She's baaaaaaack.

I think the angels must still have plans for Homeschool and her daughter. I have always believed we are saved from tragedy for a reason. Prayers and best wishes.

whew. crashes are scary - been there, done that. prayers for you both. give that child a hug!
(and take a hot shower or two for your neck and back.) thank goodness you're both going to be okay.

They are added to our prayers. Thanks.

Furthermore...thank you ALL for your prayers, good thoughts, and cyber hugs. I'm humbled and honored. Consider yourselves hugged. Wish I could whip up a batch of gharadelli chocolate cookies for everyone.
I'm on vicodin (my new best friend) so pain eludes me.
My daughter was in the front passenger seat and we were going about 5mph when hit from behind (witness said the car was going approx 50mph). The impact broke and twisted the drivers seat and crushed the lower rear of the van, crumpling to the back seat.
I'm convinced there are some bruised angels in heaven tonight for protecting my daughter as they did. I'm so blessed to know she's not hurt.
I was transported to the hospital on a backboard...got motion sick in the ambulance ...oh for joy...soft tissue and muscle problems only...no broken bones or further injury that we know of at this point. Going in to the chiropractor on Monday to get fully checked out. The chiro is a dear friend of mine so I know I'll get quality care. She'll be examining El as well.
Funny quote from my husband while at the ER: "You'll do anything to have a back rub, won't you?" Actually the back rub would be great but I'm just tickled pink to NOT have to vacume for a while! LOL
My husband was en route to the scene and they transported me during that time, leaving El in the care of 8 fire fighters and LEO's. She'll be 12 in May and was just fine staying with some of America's Heros. I'm so thankful she's okay.
El felt fine so off we went to her Track and Field Clinic this morning. My chaffeur (sp?...too lazy and medicated to look up the right spelling) picked us up..Wild horses couldn't keep me away from watching my daughter run. :o)
I'm pretty beaten up but blessed by God's mercy and the prayers of His Saints. Thank you all again and again. Please continue praying. I think it'll be a while before I feel back to normal (whatever that is) and then there's the insurance fiasco that could happen.
The driver of the other car just got out of his dialysis appointment. He shouldn't have been driving. Even his caretaker said he's usually confused and generally not 'with it'. Hmmm.
May God bless each and every one of you who posted on this thread. Hold your loved ones close this evening. Take care in driving. Know He loves you tenderly.

Ouch! What bad memories this news evokes. Memories that make it easy to pray with empathy, homeschool mama. I will pray for you and your daughter, long term and short term. And that your spirits will be touched by God's loving hands; when the body has such a shock and a jolt, the soul gets smacked around a bit, too. The Lord bless you richly in Jesus' Name with every ounce of His tender mercies and healing that you both need. And I pray for the other driver, too, whatever that person's needs are, Lord, please meet him or her in Christ.
Rintense, thanks for the flag.

Oh no........................Prayers definitely going up from the ROL household (and there are a LOT of us!) for homeschoolmama. God bless her and her family; may He send His angels to surround them and protect them. May He touch her with His loving hand and bring healing to her body. In Jesus' holy name...................amen.
