But like everything else these days, the personal is political. Some people say my weight problem is your problem and vice versa. Obesity is related to higher risks of heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes and lots of other unpleasant outcomes.

Very well put article. Why is it so hard for the neurotic controllers to understand such a simple concept?

After they criminalize Cigarettes they will go after the twinkies.

1st they came for the smokers and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a smoker, then they came for the fata**es and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a fata**, then they came for the thrill seekers(my prediction) and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a thrill seeker, then they came for me and by that time there was no one left to speak up.

This with CFR and CBDTPA WILL spark a armed revolt.
If you piss off, attack everyone and make it impossible to live in peace, NO-ONE will obey you.

It's only a matter of time before government nannies will tell us what we can eat. I fully expect a special tax to be proposed on fast food and so called "junk" food to protect us from ourselves. Already forces are gathering to dictate what kind of car we can drive -- your SUV is a prime target.
Loss of personal freedom is the ultimate consequence of letting the government solve every problem.

Rosie looks better in green (i.e. the final frame). That way, when I review my breakfast while looking at it, it tends to disappear into the blown chunks (g)

How come you left out Hussein Ibish? He could be a stand-in for Nadler!

When they outlawed cigarette smoking in California, I couldnt' believe how many of my "conservative" friends cheered.
When the Federal Government insituted a sin tax on cigarettes, I couldn't believe how many of my conservative friends cheered.
Freedom, but only if I agree with it.

This BMI rating is whacked. I am 6' tall and weigh 215. According to this, I am a half point away from 'obese'. I have broad shoulders, fairly muscular with skinny legs and a tiny paunch. If I am nearly obese, then Gerrold Nadler is the 10th planet in our solar system.

Here is one conservative who is not cheering, I hope they don't keep doing it, but what can stop them? They have all the legal precedents they need. So once a year we all line up at the government scales and fork over (did you get the pun) about $1000 for every count over the approved BMI of 32. Let's see, that would cost me an extra $5000. If they cancel the income tax I could go for it.

It's not, never has been, about the fat it's all about the tax...THAT is their ultimate goal.

Isn't this surgen general a hold-over from the ciltonista regime because it is well known that our fanatically partisian Senate will never confirm a W appiontment.

Yes, Satcher is a Klintoon appointee. One good way to combat obesity in the federal government is to get rid of the office of Surgeon General. In the meantime, I'll continue to eat red meat and pizza despite what the health nags say.

They'll win..........they always do. It's PC you know. Wait until that burger has a $3.00 tax on it and maybe smokers can get some sympathy and support.
