Thank you Bob. In case some of the FReepers don't know, we had planned on having three non-profit entities, Free Republic Institute for education and research, Free Republic Network for activism and Free Republic Forum, which would've continued to operate pretty much as it is.

We have decided to put the plans for the Free Republic Institute on the back burner and have dropped all plans of converting Free Republic Forum to a 501C non-profit. But we are moving ahead as rapidly as we can with the Free Republic Network.

The Network is an entity where we are hoping to organize our chapter activism efforts. It is a stand alone operation and is not owned or operated by Free Republic, LLC. I am 100% behind this effort, but feel that I should not currently be involved as an owner, director, officer or even part of management at this time. I am a chapter member.

I am hoping that this effort will help us build chapters and bring in more members to help with our various causes. It may be that not all existing chapters or chapter members want to join FRN, and that's ok. No FReeper will be required to become a member.

Free Republic forum will continue on as a "loosely organized" grass roots movement just as we have for the last five years. But I believe some of the things we (or at least I) want to accomplish will need a bit more formal of an organizational structure. For example, building committees in every state to repeal the income tax. I believe that the FRN will eventually have the infrastructure in place to support this kind of an effort, whereas a discussion forum like Free Republic will not.

As I say, I am behind this effort one hundred percent. I'm hoping that we can do great things through the Free Republic Network.

Many thanks for getting this off the ground.

Regards,

Jim Robinson

Hey! Now's the time for all good freepers to come to the aid of their country and sign on to the chapter nearest you!

And if your chapter isn't already a member of the Network, ask the chapter leaders to join the ranks pronto!

I'm proud to say our Florida Chapter is one of the charter members of the new FRNetwork. No spanish moss growing on us down here.

The Network will bring to our chapter all the necessary tools for effectively fighting the good fight.

What will the Florida chapter bring to the Network?

Why, only a tenacious army of Florida's finest conservatives! Plus, the Florida Freeper Army, the Florida Freeper Navy as well as the Florida Freeper Air Force under the leadership of Flight Commander Gene McDonald ("Seeking the Truth")!

And to boot, (though we don't advertise it around so no one gets jealous), the Fabulous Florida Amazon Brigade, the most patriotic, the most active, the most seasoned, the most gorgeous gaggle of activist conservative lovelies in the 50 states!

We here in the Sunshine State are the New, the Old, the Brave, the Bold. We're veteran campaigners. We'll be doing some real RENOvating soon. Don't mess with Florida (oh, oh, now I AM in trouble!).

St. Patrick sez, "Click that mouse and register on the Network page pronto! May the wind always be at yer backs and may the Saints presarv ya!"

You won't egret it, heehee!

Leni
