Bush is fast becoming a bigger joke than Clintoon. He will be a one term president because he could care less about his base. Three years is enough time for all his illegal buddies to start to really impact ares that up to now were not aware of the invasion.

(ilegal immigrants) handling and preparing our foodThat's not the only thing illegals are doing. You should read up on the Mexican drug cartels and how they've created a vast network into the US using illegals to deliver and distribute drugs. It's very likely more are involved in the drug trade than are picking apples.

The hotel and restaurant industries had been pushing hard for the bill, arguing they would be short staffed if thousands of their Mexican employees were forced to return home to apply for visas. One of the problems that make this issue so controversial, why in the hell are the hotel and restaurant industries being permitted to hire these people in the first place? Last time I checked, it was against the law to hire undocumented workers. Laws that are not enforced are a waste of the paper they are written on.
This is typical of a government that has grown beyond it's capability to be administratively effective. And this is all at the expense of the working tax payers who pay these porkers to literally screw us. Now look at the solution they are proposing to solve the problem that they created in the first place.

First of all the bill does not grant amnesty, it allows illegals to extend their stay by paying $1000. Oh now I get it. He won't "grant" them amnesty, he's SELLING amnesty......

Now if he vetoes CFR and drops the Pali state nonsense all is forgiven I don't like the steel tariff but I can forgive it.

There's the rub!!! It never ceases to amaze me how many others on this site like to bash the illegals, when the real problems is THERE NEIGHBORS IN THE LANDSCAPING, RESTAURANT and HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY!!!

Hopefully, the old coot from West Virginia will hold up the bill, but he will probably roll over once he is promised federal money for the Robert Byrd Center for West Virginian Animal Husbandry.

Hey, John. Quick question.
From the looks of things (especially around FR), it doesn't matter what Bush does, right? I mean, we're gonna have those who whine no matter what.
Straighten me out if I've went astray somewhere.
Thanks.

"Regardless, we should still annex Baja Califlonia." Best idea yet... With the tax base that we could build there (tourist industry, at least) we might be able to afford the health care for all the illegals.

Ha hahaha what kind of fools does he take us for? How many extensions does this make of 245i? THREE? They just keep extending it, and extending it, there is even talk of making it permanent, and you know what that is called when all the political double talk, renaming a duck a chicken is peeled away? Blanket Amnesty.

Bush speaks with forked tongue. He denies he is considering an amnesty while his agents have been pressuring Congress for an amnesty. You got that right. Don't trust Bush any farther than you can throw him.
