This is a simple question in which I want to gain insight. At least in terms of the opinions of the FreeRepublic population.
I'll tabulate the responses.
So what are you? Pro-Life or Pro-Abortion.

The participants I'm talking about have no responsibility. Now what?
To: Partisan Hack
"Abortion to thin down the ranks of Al Qaida" is your suggestion?
"Hack" is someone employed to write non-originally, with no literary merit.
Your screen names is accurate.

but before legal changes can be made, hearts must be changed first.Another story in Leonard Stern's article:
``When I arrived [at the clinic], there was a long line up of other women waiting for their abortions. I could not see the doctor until I waited a long time. Eventually he saw me. He did an ultrasound examination of my abdomen to see the baby. When I asked to see it, he refused. I asked him how big the baby was. He would not tell me. He said the abortion was going to be easy ... However, by that time of the day I did not have time to wait for the abortion as I had to do some homework for school. I explained that I had to leave. An appointment for the abortion was arranged for the next day, Nov. 3, 1992. By that time in my pregnancy, I could already feel the baby move inside me. I cried a lot on Nov. 3rd before I went to the clinic. However, I stopped crying as I made my way to the clinic for my appointment at 2:30 p.m. Upon arrival at the Clinic, I saw ladies outside carrying pictures of unborn babies. I looked at the pictures and thought about my own baby. As I was going towards the door a lady asked me `Can we help you?' I started crying ... They asked if I knew how the baby looks like and they showed me a book about how a baby looks like as it grows inside a mother. They also asked me about why I wanted an abortion. I told them about my financial problems ... (They) helped me by paying my rent and helping to pay for groceries (and) with maternity clothes and things for the baby. My daughter Emily was born on April 8, 1993.''
Hopefully, it's already happening.

Pro-life except where the life of the mother is in question. And where "the life of the mother is in question" is defined as: she will definitely or most likely die from giving birth.

Nope, what I got was corroborated by copies of minutes of debate in Irish Medical Societies, hospitals, and their Parliament.
...used it for a paper submitted in school, so I verified sources.

exupulsion = expulsion. Sorry.
To: KirklandJunction
So, you are claiming that Irish law prevents the doctor from removing the dead fetus from the womb, even in the case of spontaneous natural abortion? I don't believe it. How about you reference a source.
To: KirklandJunction
Your screen names is accurate. Probably so. I appreciate the personal insults and can take them.
I do mourn the loss of traditional America though. We are well on our way to becoming just another third world nation.
A radical anti-abortion stance will only speed the process.....

Anyone who sees this picture should espouse the Pro-Life position as I certainly do!

It was not a spontaneous natural abortion, that was the problem!
You want to read the references of my paper? It'll cost ya! It's now the property of the University because it was a class assignment, not thesis.
To: FreedomFriend
I am pro-life. I do however believe that all liberals should be subjected to post tri-mester abortions.

Most people's viewpoint cannot be accurately expressed by either the "pro-life" nor "pro-choice" label since the "absolute" pro-life viewpoint would forbid giving a morning-after pill to rape victims, while the "absolute" pro-choicd viewpoint would allow a pregant woman to abort her fetus on a whim 60 seconds before delivery. Frankly, I don't think you'll find many people who subscribe to either of those two viewpoints.

Your original post was:
"A recent case in Ireland (Dublin I believe) wherein the fetus was dead, and Mom was dying of fetal complications. Medically an abortion would have had an excellent chance of prolonging Mom's life." The fetus was already dead, not by abortion. The medical procedure in question was not to take the life of the child, but to removed the dead fetus from the womb, where it was poisoning the mother. Now you claim it did not die of natural causes. It would appear that you are more of "hack" than the person you are demeaning as such.
To: Jolly Rodgers
How about you reference a source. Here is some information on the legal status of abortion in Ireland for you perusal.

Yours is the most rational response. I agree with you.
A "baiting" technique like this is still used in undergraduate college, and works like a charm on some, as we've seen here.
The issue I mentioned in Ireland was the topic of (one of many) spirited academic debates, and a staunch Catholic won a debate on the side of medically aborting the dead fetus in order to save the mother. I wonder if that "staunch Catholic" has a medical or law future in Ireland.

ProLife
No abortion
No contraception
No euthanasia
No experimentation on human embryos
No screwing around with embryonic stem cells
No death penalty.
Period.
To: FreedomFriend; Partisan Hack
Have to say that I personally am pro-life, though I don't think the nation is ready to have Roe-v-Wade (however bogus) reversed and whatnot... I'd find it hard to fault a woman for having an abortion in a case of rape/incest/life of the mother, however...
Way I see it, the reason feminists and other women cling so tightly to their "right to choose" is, it's a quick fix for the inconvenient natural results of poor judgment...
Partisan Hack's post #29 about the illegals banging like rabbits reflects fairly mainstream liberal views on this-- but if Planned Parenthood types start dictating which poor lil' immigrant kids can reproduce (and you know that PP involvement would pretty much be coercion of these poverty-stricken uneducated non-English-speaking women; "informed consent" would be a ludicrous concept in this case, IMO), at what arbitrary point is a line to be drawn? Maybe nationwide testing should be instituted for the right and privilege to reproduce-- with education, income, health and medical history, and attitudes being prominent factors in the decision.
You know I'd be one of the first to undergo mandatory sterilization, haha...
I hear what you're saying, Hack, and I understand your attitude from the viewpoint of a p!ssed-off taxpayer and whatnot... I just don't think mass abortions are the answer... Tougher border patrol, maybe.

No contraception They'll love ya in China...
To: Jolly Rodgers
The fetus was dead, not by abortion.
Abortion is defined as natural or INDUCED expulsion of a nonviable human fetus.
per Webster.
The ethical discussion was inducing expulsion.
