"A recent case in Ireland (Dublin I believe) wherein the fetus was dead, and Mom was dying of fetal complications. Medically an abortion would have had an excellent chance of prolonging Mom's life." The fetus was already dead, not by abortion. The medical procedure in question was not to take the life of the child, but to removed the dead fetus from the womb, where it was poisoning the mother. Now you claim it did not die of natural causes. It would appear that you are more of "hack" than the person you are demeaning as such.
The fetus was dead, not by abortion.
Abortion is defined as natural or INDUCED expulsion of a nonviable human fetus.
per Webster.
The ethical discussion was inducing expulsion.
