Yes, they are. (And I didn't even read the article).

Merde, what a title for a post.

And besides all that - they think Jerry Lewis is funny!

I know its supposed to be fun to bash the French, but I know a lot of French and on the whole they are no better or worse than my other mates and that includes Yanks.
Patriotism is loving your own country not slagging of others.
Cheers Tony

"this new Judaeophobia seething in the disaffected urban strongholds of French Islam may prove difficult to contain." Here, IMHO, is the real problem.

Good article in here yesterday on the legal system(more like the lack of it) in France.

You say they have only a "tiny" Jewish population, but my records show they have the 4th largest Jewish community in the world, after the USA, Israel, and the former Soviet union.
I do think they are more anti-Semitic than any other major Western nation...and this list says that Britain may have passed them into the number 4 slot recently, but wouldn't that still make them Number 5?
And remember, they are harboring Suha Arafat and her two children...

Are the French a shi*tty lot?(Just an aside: What is the purpose of the asterisk here when the expletive is already fully spelled out?)

Maybe you've just been lucky. I've only met 4 Frenchmen but they all deserved to have every conversation begin and end with a punch in the face. And the American service men that were fortunate enough liberate part of France and part of anyother country in Europe found the French to be ungrateful and rude.

Yeah...the mother of all libertarians--madness!

Designers of the box and line org-chart. Inventors of nuevo cuisine. Scoffers at Amiercan wine even though all their wine comes from American grape seeds (they had a blight before WWII, between the two the French grape effectively ceased to exist).
So many bad things to say about the French and so little bandwidth.

As I say, Americans don't have passports. They rely on this sort of crap to form their opinions of the world. Most of them have probably never even met a French girl. Sad.

I do find it interesting that so much attention is paid to French complicity with the Nazi's, but rarely is it mentioned that the appeasement of Hitler at Munich was a far more significant contributor, and the architect of this disaster was the British Prime Minister.
I've never been a fan of France, but there is plenty of blame to spread around.

I heard about that... calling Israel a shi$$y little country.. countries in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

That's exactly the problem.
