NOMINATIONS PLEASE: Most Destructive Liberal(s) of the Last Century
FR feature ^ | n/a

I nominate the ACLU because they materially changed our laws, undermining traditional American culture, under the guise of "protecting" our civil rights.

Say amen in a public school, display a creche at city hall, sing a Christmas carol in the public square, and the ACLU will be on your back in a nanosecond. And while they are hammering you, they'll claim the First Amendment protects Americans from these "horrible" religious influences.

It would be interesting to see the ACLU's membership list. But the ACLU refuses to divulge who supports them.

I second FDR for SS and the 1934 Firearms Act and would also like to nominate the Secretary of State that incorrectly declared the 16th Amendment ratified.

HA! Can you blame them?

"Here. Here is the list of utter scumbags who support the destruction of the traditional American family unit and the derision of everything that is decent and good about the country and humanity itself."
LOL!!

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, hands down.

If you need reasons, most would cite the New Deal, which is credited with ending the Depression but did no such thing (World War II did that).

His most enduring "contribution" is to the courts. By threatening to pack the Supreme Court, he intimidated justices who had been following the Constitution and throwing out his New Deal laws. The judges started letting his New Deal c**p go through in clear violation of the Constitution's limits on federal government authority. This set the stage for the Warren Court near-complete abandonment of the Constitution in later years in favor of judicial activism, resulting in, among other things, the disappearance of the power of the states to resist federal mandates and the wreck of the civil justice system's common-law assignment of responsibility.

The Roosevelt Administration of the early and late 30s is also a case study in spin, corruption, and manipulation that was no doubt studied and known by the Clintons and dusted off by them when they took office.

I would have to say that it is Bill and Hillary. They are two sides of the same coin. They have succeeded in getting a free pass by the press and the feminist groups as well as dividing the nation. They are traitors and have defiled this nation, the White House, and the office of the Presidency with their very presence. The sad part is, they will not go away, willingly, and there are plenty of mental defectives in this nation who would put them back into the White House in a heartbeat.

Woodrow Wilson.
Creation of the IRS, Federal Income tax, and Fed Reserve on his watch.
Got America involved in WWI. Instead of exhausted combatants seeking a truce - we had the Treaty of Versailles that spawned Nazi Germany. Arguably Soviets wouldn't have had traction in Russia had Nicholas' relative (the Kaiser) remained in power. Also, its possible that WWI would have finished sooner if England and France were convinced that America wouldn't participate - and maybe Lenin and his gang wouldn't have been successful in the overthrow of the Czar.

Individuals: FDR & LBJ

No one else is even close. Others are equal or worse in evil intent but none are in that league so far as results. ACLU could not accomplish it's destruction without like-minded judges who are appointed by CEOs and those 2 were the worst. Bush Sr. is actually on that list, too. His "intent" was fair play in his games with the crats in Congress but the ADA and environmental legislation he allowed and even pushed have been very effective in retarding our free market system.

FDR, LBJ, and then BJ Clinton...

BJ Clinton was, and still is, a self serving icehole... I don't know if FDR or LBJ could be considered the same..

Rachel Carson, The greatest mass murderer in known history.
Typical liberal, she has brought death to millions under the falsely held belief it saves birds.

But the following would be disappointed if you left them out:
Stalin
Hitler

Madeline Murray O'Hare and Dr. Spock.

They worked through the public education system in the 1950's and 1960's to undermine it. The destructive results are seen from the 1970's to the present.

Bill Clinton, wth special mention to Janet Reno: Waco, Elian, turning his back on getting bin Laden, taking illegal campaign contributuions from China, drug dealers, tossing away national security, allowing China to steal our most precious nuclear secrets, for corrupting our branches of government: using the IRS to investigate political enemies, the FBI files, the postal workers interfering with absentee ballots, military ballots, and campaign literature,...I could go on forever.
