So apparently all that talk about not bothering with those threads because they are so silly isn't quite the truth. I am SO surprised.

Indeed they are good for recipes! I know one woman in our office who's a weekend waffle addict and is Very Excited about trying out the new method.

(Astute observer that you are, I know you realize it was my burning curiosity over JediMom's comment re: "throwing up trees" that got the best of me. You guys have a lot of fun on those threads and -- occasional ice-cold deathgrip of despair aside -- I've always enjoyed myself the handful of times I've checked in for one reason or another.)

As to BAC, it's way past time we ALL stopped replying to him. His ridiculous statements about JW and us aren't worth the time to read, much less reply to.

Yet you'll cheerfully and happily reply to VA Advogado ... a PROVEN LIAR.

Yet you STILL won't tell us why you decided that Ron Brown was not murdered. Still RUNNING.

Not at all. I may not understand what that has to do with rooting out political corruption but Jim's been very clear from the beginning that he has no problems with folks using the forum as a chat room of sorts where likeminded folks can enjoy each other's company.

I just resent it when the Guild's style of criticism is applied to more serious threads, that's all. If you're going to come hang out on one of my "conspiracy theory, hate-filled, cut & paste" threads, I'll want some meat to back up your posts, that's all.

I never dreamed FR would become a place where mainstream news was regurgitated to the sounds of cheers and whistles. Used to be that the mainstream news articles were posted only to be ripped apart and corrected with the sort of "cut & paste" links and research replies on which I obviously was trained.

I'm just consistent "old style", plain and simple. I realize the place is and will only continue to change. I see no reason I must lockstep, that's all. I'm sure once my sort's no longer welcome here, I'll be asked to leave. Until then, I see little point in perpetually castigating me with specious personal attacks.

You must not be reading the same threads I do then. It seems to me that most everything posted here, wherever it comes from, is torn to shreds.

Rather, I was referring to her posting of the bespectacled Buttcheeks which -- although possibly the zenith of entertainment riposte for some -- doesn't exactly top the charts of salient or substantive criticism.

That's one, what about the other 9,999?

Thanks. Likewise. :-)

Lol ... may God bless the gerbils at FR!

As for my remarks on "mainstream" ... I just find it hard to believe the press we've excoriated for four years suddently has its head on straight and we should be delighted they've "come around" on a dime to support the GOP. Seems odd.

And there's also my wishing this place were not viewed as a News outlet. I've expressed my concern more than once over FR's turning into a potpourri news source for many. Quite frankly, I think that sort of profile only lends legitimacy to the complaints of the Wash Post and the LA Times.

Particularly when it's just a heads up on a great article from a indy source -- such as WND, JWR or others for example -- I see no reason the whole story is posted is here.

As for the mainstream sources, it's probably best those posting a story limit themselves to quoting in full the more specious or troubling parts.

I guess I can't help being overly sensitive to the frankly surreal image that is having a mainstream article cheered by the forum.

My Mom sent me a copy of Georgie Ann Geyer's article supporting military tribunals. I read this morning Slate's article on the the fact there is no "anti-war" movement and that anyone who does opposed the government's waging "war" is "irrelevant".

I just get a bad feeling about the way the press is giving Hollywood a run for its money where pro-government agit-prop is concerned.

thought I generally only dig into those which have some bearing on an particular interest of mine.

Huh? You comment on how expensive things are. The point of looking at the 990's is to see what JW does with the money they take in. Looks like to me they take in way to much since they have millions sitting.

I'm curious, you ever been a controller, CFO or something similiar?

As I've so kindly requested of Howlin, M. Thatcher and the Girls ... I'd appreciate a flag to the more outlandlish and emotional attacks on me. I hate to miss out.

Right. Like when you didn't flag me to your pathetic self-pitying thread "The Parsons Project" in which you complained about people gossiping behind your back. You mentioned both me and William Wallace while flagging others to gossip and lie behind my and WW's back. You hypocrite, I will make sure I flag you each time I talk about loons!

P.S. And judging by the photo in your profile page, you never grew up!

That's one, what about the other 9,999?

Well ... let's remember -- first of all -- that I was applauding what I thought to be a well executed arrow at the heart of the matter.

Second, I've always enjoyed the likes of deport, patent and others (who actually post information or link from the site to support their criticism).

And, I thought the image of Don Quixote was apropos and some of the off-the-cuff remarks are a riot.

However, most criticisms of Klayman sound like they were lifted from a grade-school playground. I'm a "dance with the one that brought you" sort. To convince me otherwise, I guess I'll need something more compelling than a steady stream of raspberries.

This is one instance, actually, where I hope I'm never proved wrong but it's certainly a possibility I may find one day my faith was misplaced.

(Look what happened to me and Al Haig, Nixon, Kissinger, Bush I and Bush II, for Pete's sake. Facts do trump emotional ties for me.)

Yet you STILL won't tell us why you decided that Ron Brown was not murdered. Still RUNNING.

Because he was in a plane crash in which there were no survivors. Just a thought.

You want Howlin to prove that he WASN'T murdered. You can't prove a negative. The burden is on you to prove that he was murdered.

So what's YOUR theory?

(1) Clinton somehow learned that Brown was going to rat on him to save his own neck? Where's the evidence for that?

(2) Did Clinton order the pilot to crash the plane or was that a lucky break for him? But somehow Ron Brown survived the plane crash, so Clinton dispatched a hit team to finish him off? Is that what happened?

(3) Did he send a second hit team to dispatch the first hit team in case one of those guys talked? But wait, what if the second team talked?

I'm all ears.

AHA! I knew this poetry-loving minx DelSoul was just a cover for your true subversive self. You have given yourself away with the Words you love!

You may have been successful in the past -- On Banning a Loon Like Askel5 -- but I suspect you'll find your work cut out for you here at the as yet still rollicking Free Republic.

Good hunting!

P.S. And judging by the photo in your profile page, you never grew up!

Guilty as charged ... s'matter of fact, I STILL refuse to wear a tie -- or a serious expression -- in the middle of July.

(P.S. Oh yeah ... thanks for reminding about the Parsons Project. Too bad that got deleted. I've a memory like a sieve when it comes to how malicious and small and furtive folks can be ... save Kissinger, of course ... and could probably use the occasional reminder. Regards Miss V.)

Right. Just the facts, Sergeant Friday? That's what I thought when you posted:

That the Bush family was behind the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan

That George W. Bush supports abortion on demand

That Henry Kissinger was behind the September 11th attacks

That the September 11th attacks are God's punishment to America for abortion

That AIDS is God's punishment to homosexuals for their depravity.

The facts, the whole facts and nothing but the facts.

So, according to your logic, the fact that Victoria used the word "loon" on this thread in a post to you. Somehow, that "proves" that an unknown individual on some other discussion group who used the same word must have been Victoria.

Therefore, applying the same askelian logic:

Victoria used the word "loon" on this thread.
Askel5 used the word "loon" in another FR thread.
Victoria Delsoul is askel5.

If anything, the case for the two of you being the same person is stronger, since it's indisputable you're both on the same forum. You've merely alleged a nexus between Victoria and this other forum.

If people on multiple forums associate you with the same personality trait, one might suppose they must be the same people.

OTOH, one might apply Occam's Razor and cut to the chase.

Larry is in the Clintons back pocket. Watch: someday he will use what he is doing now to slam Bush for NOT having done the same thing (sooner) and will use it to further the democrap agenda.
