Movie "Star" Julia Roberts is a Shallow, Ignorant, Arrogant (Vanity)
Right Now! | StoneColdGOP

Did anyone see this left-wing piece of crap on "The Late Show" tonight? I just finished seeing it and I am fuming mad.

Letterman tried to enlighten the dumb broad that the ORIGINAL "Ocean's 11" had a (real) all star cast and Roberts flippantly remarked she'd only seen a few bits of it, saying more or less she was not impressed.

Dave then tries to tell her that the Rat Pack did this movie in their heyday while ruling Las Vegas and tried to communicate to her what made the whole movie great, and she sits there STILL completely unimpressed.

I've never liked this dumb piece of trash, but she's now proven beyond a doubt she lacks all respect for her industry's history, and has no class or humility.

Go to hell, Julia. And take your "megastar" pals Pitt, Damon and Clooney with you.

I love "Valley of the Dolls!"

The Virginian, by Owen Wister. Made into movie starring Gary Cooper. High Noon was also derived from that book, one of the best American novels ever written, and Cooper starred in that as well, but without the book's most famous line.

So, sort of non-committal?

If she was a strong conservative, she would be dropped by the major studios like a box of anthrax. As far as I can tell her major talents are from the neck down. Anyone who would insult a major portion of their potential fan base is a moron. Her actual acting ability is in the poor to mediocre category.

"Smile when you say that." It is the warning rattle, meaning you can call me anything (in the book it was son of a b., here it is "California girl") if you are my friend and smile when you say it, but them's fightin' words if meant derrogatorily.

Can't find the URL to post the counties map. A majority of the land mass in California, including the Central Valley where I live, went for Bush, hence, is Red Country.

Can't be remade. Its so bad that it achieved a kind of greatness of awfulness. It should be seen by filmsters for the abundance of unintentional laughs. Incidentally watch "Ed Wood" featuring Johnny Depp if you get the chance.

She doesn't look good; Old Liver Lips looks dumb as a box of rocks to me. This thread topic seems to confirm that. Glad I don't waste movie money on this stupid bimbo.

I was seventeen when I saw that flick, and I realized what garbage Hollywood could make if they put their tiny minds to it. Before that I could watch just about anything without throwing up. Sort of an end of innocence kind of thing.

"Julia Roberts...dumb...piece of trash...ignorant...arrogant..." These strike one as incongruous?

Her and Katie Couric are birds of a feather. Dumb Broads.

You want to remake a bad movie? Give John Milius another crack at Red Dawn. He'll get it right this time...

I used to work with someone who went to school with her in Georgia and he said Julia was dumb as a stump and really not all that good looking in high school.

The best actor in EITHER list is Don Cheadle. He's among the very best in the business. Hell, Mission to Mars was a terrible movie, but any part with him is somewhat watchable. If only Hollywood didn't go by the "template" system of casting for minority actors. You have "badass black dude"--Sam L., "noble black dude"--Denzel, "old black dude"--Morgan Freeman. Interspersed in there are guys like Cuba Gooding and Delroy Lindo and Don Cheadle.

Everytime my mom sees Delroy Lindo she says "I shoulda named you that." Hilarious, but 'tis a damn cool name.

Well, here's the good news. Within about 20 years, actors will be irrelevant. With the advent of CGI, studios will be able to "create" any type of star they want - and actors will go the way of the buggy whip.

Also, I've always felt there are, at any time, about a half dozen GREAT actors (Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman, a few others). The rest could be replaced by just about any waiter/waitress currently working in LA or NY - and noone would know the difference....

What an outrage! They should have given the part to Al Gore.
