Just now on ABC newscast Peter (alias - Dick) Jennings had the temerity to actually go to Big D - Dallas, Texas and get a 'man-on-the-street' opinion of what Dallasites think of the world in general.
Dubya got the expected high marks all around and then Jennings asked one man what Dallas residents think of things and the man replies:
"Well, nobody like YOU!"
Right in Jennings weasily little face!!
Jennings spun it to mean that folks were mad at media in general, but I guarantee you this guy meant Peter Jennings personally!
Man, what a treat.
I guess ABC wont be planning any more visits to Dalllas anytime soon. BEEEEEAAUUUUTIFFFULLLLL!!

Texas ain't Houston. We got everything; plains, prairies, desert, mountains, you name it. Tell you the truth, I wouldn't live in Houston, either.

I can't believe ABC aired it!
I can't believe it either. I'm really surprised that clip didn't end up on the cutting room floor. Hmmm. What do you suppose it means?

This is so great! Wish I could give that guy a big hug! The Jennings of the world just don't get it. They live in their little ivory towers thinking the universe revolves around them, and the minute they walk out the door they step right in it. Little moments like this make my day.

Re #12: You should be proud you live in Texas. As I told someone else on FR, I had the great good fortune to live in Texas for 6 months during my twenties (my time of exploring & having fun!), and I loved it. I loved the people, the scenery, the history, everything. And I grew up in Chicago.!!! :)

Memo to Peter Jennings:
DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS! LOL!

>>>
ABC nightly news and in Jennings' closing remarks he said that the Cowboys were supposed to be America's team....so out of respect he would not disclose the score of Sundays game between Dallas and Philly<<< Yes, that and the fact he won't disclose the "Afgahn score" - the score that shows Americans are winning in Afgahanastan and that Americans here at home are 98% behind our guys (& gals) makes the weasel Peter Jennings #1 candidate for export back to Canada - along with a few thousand un-American Muslims!!

It's the bugs that'll keep the real Yankees out.Okay, Since I grew up in Chicago, I'm a Yankee, I guess (though all my family came over from Sweden & Germany well after the civil war), and as I just posted, I got to live in Texas for a few months. I loved it! But you are right, the bugs are AWFUL! I tried to keep the apartment clean, but one morning in mid-summer, I found a, I swear to God, a 2 inch long cockroach IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!! And, get this, it was still ALIVE! God, amazing. Guess everying is big in Texas...... :)

Please someone on the West Coast...tape it. Pleeeeze! When we go around the table on Thursday, it wil be what I am thankful for.

I could really like Texas if is wasn't for the weather. It's to hot and sticky for me. The Meteroplex (Dallas-Fort Worth area) is only hot, and the housing is afforable and comes with air-conditioning and we have plenty of electricity.

I didn't see it but tell me about it again. It sounds so nice.
It's like a favorite tune that you want to play over and over again.

I thought everyone in Texas spoke spanish, and were no taller than 5 foot.
I thought Mexico controlled texas now.
That's what I get for thinking.
