Okay, Since I grew up in Chicago, I'm a Yankee, I guess (though all my family came over from Sweden & Germany well after the civil war), and as I just posted, I got to live in Texas for a few months. I loved it! But you are right, the bugs are AWFUL! I tried to keep the apartment clean, but one morning in mid-summer, I found a, I swear to God, a 2 inch long cockroach IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!! And, get this, it was still ALIVE! God, amazing. Guess everying is big in Texas...... :)

Nighttime speed limits are not -- big. 65 MPH is the nighttime speed limit on the interstates, as I found out the hard way. :(
