When President Bush ended his magnificent speech with Todd Beamer's words "LET'S ROLL" I burst into tears much to the shock of our triplet girls, age 2, on the nineteenth of this month. They're fine now, in fact, they're running around shouting "Let's roll." My question, did anyone else cry? Did President Bush's speech move you to tears too?

The young lady next to me says: "You can't fool a dog. They know." That dog knows he's with the President.

Hey! We've got a great Black Lab, named Capt Flint (after the parrot in Treasure Island). He's a big softy, although he has the construction crew next door terrified with his deep woof! (If only they knew that a doggie treat works everytime)
Since Flint is terrified of our neighbor's Yorkies, I'm afraid that the Shepherds would make mincemeat of him.

Who was that anti-American leftist goon on MSNBC who was spewing venom after the speech to Frank Luntz? He kept saying Bush can't speak and that it was stupid when he said "Let's go rolling". I saw that crap too. After Bush's first speech ("We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail.") Luntz's crowd consisted of a handful of cops and fireman and had tons of Muslims and college students. Hardly a cross section representative of society. This time it was more of the same - a bunch of whiny "feel your pain" liberals. Its was if they wanted Bush to give them specific instructions on how to contribute to to the war effort. ("Now Timmy, when you wake up at 11 o'clock after drinking a 12 of Bud from your workmen's 'comp' paycheck, go down the Red Cross and give blood").

Amen. It is so good to see integrity in the office again. To hear words spoken from the heart, in honesty, and in truth. This is a man who has yet to give us reason to distrust him; as compared with the previous occupant who every day gave us reason to disdain him. Open the windows, Ma, and breath in the fresh air!

Thanks for the heads up!

Thank you so much for that link to the dog news. I signed myself up as a subscriber. I love dogs. There is another great picture of two goldens getting pets from GW. Dogs have an unerring sense of good people. I remember how Buddy was mere PR for X42 and how uncomfortable and cold and distant they always were with him. He's probably long gone and he's much better off in a decent home.

No doubt. The American Winston Churchill for our time.

My ex and I trained a beautiful lab/doby mix pup named 'Sue'. She was my ex's and my baby and she knew when one of my friends 'wasn't right' even when I was too stupid to see thru them myself. As another poster said and I'm paraphrasing: "dogs know".
He's probably long gone and he's much better off in a decent home.
Let's hope so.
Long time ago, but I sure miss having a dog like 'Sue'.

LOL I know that ferocious "woof" well. Translated to a "doggyism" it says, "I'm supposed to protect this house, but if you give me a cookie, I'll be your friend for life."
My 14 y/o just had surgery this week and they found some inoperative cancer ... wanted to amputate ... but I refused. He'll live out his days with me and his hunts will be limited to easy forays into the field, where his nose still beats the youngest hounds, flushing up his favorite chase, pheasant. First year he missed duck hunting. He knew he was being left out. Great dogs!

When the President said "let's roll", I burst into tears! You are not alone! It was a speech that would make anyone proud to be an American and proud of the man in the Oval Office. I thank God that he is there.

I thought it would be a great name for this operation.
That would be awesome. I can't emphasize my agreement adequetely here. Just...it probably would have been if they'd thought of it. I like it.

"It was a speech that would make anyone proud to be an American and proud of the man in the Oval Office."
Not the
liberal DJ fixated on the mantra that Bush isn't "bright enough" for the job, but he's surrounded himself with capable people. DUH! Perception is everything, performance is nothing to these people. I don't recall the IQ test being verbally administered or scored based on verbal articulation.

Yes, I also cried, tears rolling down my cheeks at Pres. Bush's rallying sentence ""We have our marching orders, my fellow Americans: 'Let's roll.'" That enforces in my belief, that as Americans, if we each had the chance, We would all be Todd Beemers! We can all be Todd Beemers..... My son is, on the Kitty Hawk, my wife is at her job, and by God give me the chance, and 'Todd, I'll back ya up all the way'... Let's Roll !

To: Timesink
He was some "moron" precisely as you suggest. :) OBVIOUSLY
