Good Morning. Reporting today just west of Germ Zero.

Do not let them die in vain!!

Kantafordia bridges in San Francisco, Long Beach, and San Diego have acquired a National Guard presence as that state believes they will be terrorist targets over the next 48 hours or so.

Al Qa'eda's cash has been tied to Sierra Leone's diamond trade.

And for the following, you WILL need your barf bags at the ready.

This statement, from the NY Post, carries with it an ULTIMATE BARF ALERT!!!

Heather Mills, fiancee of Paul McCartney, asked if UOx42 still wanted to be in the White House.

UOx42 indicated that he...

[ready...]

[get barf bags up...]

[here it comes...]

WOULD BE A BETTER WAR LEADER!!!

You may now return to your normal FReeping.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Another unattributed Yankee commentary in my inbox this morning...ENJOY!!!!!!!!

They are just beyond explanation!!

Two straight nights of pure, unadulterated baseball.
Backs against the wall comebacks, back-to-back!
Sterling Hitchcock said, "It doen't matter what the score is. It doesn't matter what the inning is.It's almost like they set the stage for these kind of dramatics. It's unbelievable."
It seems that they just keep outdoing themselves each year!
Two wins, both including forehead-slapping homers with the Yanks down to their last out, may have proven once and for all that God has a pair of pinstripe pajamas in His closet.
Joe Torre said; "This is the most incredible couple of games I've ever managed."
This is a team Yogi Berra has to be proud of "It Ain't over 'til its over"
Two years from now, when Byung-Hyun Kim is pitching in the ninth inning of a tight game for the Altoona Beaver Boofers of the Middle Penn. Amateur Baseball League, his manager will stroll to the mound, pat him on the rump and offer some reassuring words. "BK...let 'em rip!" Brenly will say.
And he will. Kim will strike out the part-time auto mechanic. He'll force the accountant into an innocent pop-up to third. Then-- with all four fans on their feet and the Kutztown Krushers down to their final out--Kim will throw three spine-melting heaters past Paulie Duer, the .450-hitting, 450 lbs mason from nearby Jonestown. With strike three, Kim will pump his fist, jog to the dugout and embrace Brenly, skipper of the 2003 MPABL champs.
"We did it!" he'll say. "We did it!"
Kim will make a wonderful Altoona BeaverBoofer because history tells us so. Mitch Williams, the wild-yet- effective Phillies closer, allowed Joe Carter's walk-off homer in Game 6 of the 1993 World Series, then was never heard from again. Donnie Moore, the mediocre-yet--effective Angels closer, allowed Dave Henderson's Game 5 homer in the 1986 ALCS. He was never the same.
Throughout the season, Brenly has made his share of questionable calls. For a former catcher, he's surprisingly lax with pitch counts and tired arms. He often sends runners at odd times, and holds them at even odder ones. His line-ups are head-shakers. He's hit and miss.
If you've watched the last three games at Yankee Stadium, you've had to have seen former Yankee now with Arizona, Buck Showalter...he's not smiling! If you've seen Joe Garagiola Jr. (Arizona's GM) he's not laughing either. And if the Diamondbacks loose this the good people of Altoona...well they can't wait!!

Joe Torre is a great manager with great players. He seems so in control and always seems to make the right moves effortlessly.

Brenly's been outmanaged at almost every step of the way. He's maybe tried to outsmart himself or something.

But if Arizona wins this, what can you attribute it to? Top to bottom, the Yankees are a better team. They have won 3 championships in a row and 4 of the last 5. They are a dynasty. Arizona is there because they won what I think was definitely a weaker league this year. Two very good pitchers isn't normally enough to win a championship. Yet, they still could win these last two games and win it all.

So if that happens, if the weaker team wins over the stronger team, don't we usually say it's because of the manager using his players better? Arizona has to win to make Brenly look good. If they don't, he looks like an idiot. I don't think he's an idiot, but he has not managed well in this series and it has a lot more to do that just how he's used his pitching. He's playing small ball because he's intimidated by the Yankees and trying to win by getting one run here and there and hope it's enough. Now he's lost 3 games in a row by 1 run and he's getting killed.

By the way, since 1998, the Yankees have played in 12 games in the post-season (or is it the World Series?) that were decided by 1 run. They are now 12-0 in those games!

Thanks, Josie!

Somebodies have some awfully cute grandchildren!^))

Don't think I'd recognize Garth Brooks either, g6.

How's your kitten doing? MY younger cat has draped himself on the table, between the computer screen and the keyboard.

His paws touch my fingers as I type.

I AM HERE!, he wants me to know!

Are there extra points for Helen Thomas?

Mozie: Here's a little something from my daughter in Indy you might enjoy.

Subject: Unknown Substance Dateline: Indianapolis, Indiana

Indianapolis Colts' football practice was delayed on Wednesday for nearly two hours at the RCA Dome.

One of the players, while on his way to the locker room happened to look down and notice a suspicious looking, unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. Head coach Jim Mora immediately suspended practice while the FBI was called in to investigate.

After a complete field analysis, the FBI determined that the white substance, unknown to the players, was the goal line.

Practice was resumed when FBI Special Agents decided that the team would not likely encounter the substance again.

You're kidding, right?

No problem if you're not. If you saw Wednesday's game, it was like Thursday's game.
