A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 9/25/01

President Bush met with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, who pledged Japan's complete support for newly renamed Operation Enduring Freedom. The President also spoke out once again about freezing the assets of terrorist groups in countries other than the United States. On the military front, the President activated another round of reservists.

Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush spent the day in New York City where she visited PS41 as well as midtown Manhattan fire Batallion 9. The firefighters gave Laura a New York Fire Department cap and patch.

Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Lovely, rintense. He's looking strong and determined in all of these photos. Fierce, even. But I miss his endearing little smirk. Hope he has some happy moments during these long and arduous days.

Laura said that others are just beginning to see the man she has always known.

One of the things he said in the Rose Garden today (that led to my kissing the TV) was,
"I'm a patient man..............nothing will diminish my determination........nothing!"

This is the man that Laura has always known, and that others are now seeing.
He hasn't changed. People's understanding of him has changed.

Don't you just love Laura?!! She puts all those media jerks in their places without losing her cool........amazing!!

President Bush hates cigarette smoke

Another item to add to my long list of how President Bush is like me!

1. We love America.
2. We love Laura, each in our own particular way. =)
3. We hate cigarette smoke.
4. We hate evil and love good.

I could go on but I will spare the bandwidth!

... but I do find myself still bursting into tears when I see the President ..... and saying over and over "Thank you, Lord!" .... and I have been saying it even more fervently in the last two weeks.

I find myself thanking our Father in Heaven at the oddest times of the day for granting us such a marvelous leader. God knew JUST what we needed! What our children needed, what our nation and the world needed to help us walk out of the shadow of a crumbling culture.

Rin-I LOVE our guy in the top pic especially, with the FBI emblem behind him....what a bunch of strength, power and conviction that picture denotes.

Thanks, rintense. I love the pictures of Laura. She is definitely coming into her own. A quiet strength.

I believe what ohioWfan and others are feeling and expressing is literally a move of God's Holy Spirit on the people of America, upon all hearts that will allow themselves to be touched by gratitude to God for this immeasurable gift. I have often found myself praying, "God, cause people all across this land to love our president, even those who would not normally agree with his ideas." I have felt from the beginning that W needed this love and support to carry out the tasks God would give him.

And besides that, he's just plain loveable! The mix of qualities God gave him to form his personality is amazing. Laura told Lesley Stahl that one of the things she and her husband liked about each other immediately was how well their personalities complemented each other -- Laura said George was exciting to be around, and she was "probably calmer" to be around.

Has anyone ever noticed his pixie-like ears? There's a look of mischief about him that belies his age. Just makes me want to go up and squeeze his cheek, like Peter Falk's character did to his grandson in The Princess Bride.

You are cracking me up! Kissing the t.v. Wow!

I thought I was bad because I talk and sometimes yell at people on the t.v.

Well, I don't blame you for kissing our man. He's the best, but he's been scaring me a bit. He sounds pretty tough and I decided I wouldn't want to be on his bad side. Would you????

I did get a little tickled at his TEXAS lingo -- "flat" evil. My husband is from Texas, and I have many friends in Oklahoma that use that term. I love it. He's so NORMAL, and yet so WAY ABOVE average.

Have you ever noticed his sweet neck? It reminds me of my husband. I like to kiss his neck when I trim the back of his hair. He's got such a sweet kissable neck, and Dubya does too.

I know what you mean. One time some creep called my husband a liar, which of course was not true, and I just went Postal, and started to punch the guy out. Now believe me, this is not my normal behavior, I have never hit anyone in my life! But for some reason, I was just going to go for his throat or something. Luckily, my hubby realized what I was about to do and stepped between me and the man to stop me!
Even I couldn't believe I had almost done this when it was over! Wouldn't do for me to be First Lady, Dan Rather and Peter Jennings would have me on assault charges the first week! LOL

I would personally like to thank you Bush Babes who have the nerve to say all of the things that the rest of us think all of the time but are too shy to say!

Ditto to everything you all said! LOL!
