War has been brought home to us in a very dramatic way. Television has a way of doing things with war that isn't reality.

Woah, buddy...while I tend to agree that Bin Laden and his scumbag trolls were most likely responsible for this tragedy, Mr. Rivero's words in Post #32 make a lot of sense. Find out who's to blame, then PUNISH THEM IN A WAY THAT NO ONE ON THIS PLANET WILL EVER FORGET!! But we can't afford to go off half-cocked, because for America to kill folks who had nothing to do with this would simply expand this tragedy further!!

The question becomes, "Who do we declare war on?"
After Pearl Harbor, the answer was clear: Japan. Hitler cleared up any differences of opinion regarding Germany by declaring war on us.
Now, the finger pointing will begin. Some will blame Osama Bin Ladem and want to make war on Afghanistan. Some will blame the Palestinian Authority and demand that it be destroyed. Some will claim that this was a plot by the Israeli Mossad to lure the USA into a war against the Palestinians just as Winston Churchill and FDR allegedly allowed Pearl Harbor to be surprised in order to get the USA into WW II. Some will blame narco-terrorists getting revenge for the extradition of Ochoa. Some may blame Lybia. Some America-haters will blame stray missles for a U.S. Navy ship.
Sorting all of this out may take months and even then, the responsible party may not be identified with certainty.
So, right now, we have no target that we can carpet bomb by B-52's.
However, one thing we can do, right now, is to get control over our borders. Native-born American citizens have a First Amendment right to hate America and publicly proclaim it from every corner. The foeriegn-born are here by the magnanimity of America.
It is time to start getting choosy about who is allowed to move to America or stay here. A one year moratorium on immigration would be a good place to start. During that year, the status of individuals with Green Cards should be reviewed. Those individuals who have engaged in conduct or speach that prove a hatred of America should have their Green Cards revoked and they should be sent back where they came from.
Before anyone says I am anti-immigrant, I will say that I am an immigrant. I am also a retired U.S. Naval officer and, during my years of active duty, I was stationed across an active minefield separating me from my former country and I was fully prepared to go to war with my own former country if the balloon went up.
This is war. As I was typing this post for anothr thread, I saw the collapse of the World Trade Center on live TV. The death toll today can easily exceed that of Pearl Harbor.
Wartime situations require wartime remedies.
We were in the middle of a Math lesson with our homeschooled kids when I heard of the first plane. I went to turn on the TV and had the kids come to watch. That's when we saw the video of the second plane(Pray also for those poor folks on the hijacked airliners-How in the WORLD was THAT allowed to happen, anyway?) Then as we were watching, it looked like a building next door exploded and I told my daughter, "The Trade Center just collapsed!" And sure enough, that is what had happened! Then as we watched longer, the second tower came down. Nothing like watching History being made live; I told them this was their homeschooling for the day.
Anyway, we're out the door to give blood; everyone go and do the same!!
Yeah, right.
I'm pretty sure this is going to be middle eastern terrorists. Our reaction is going to be to level every terrorist camp we can find.
Any nation that harbors terrorists are going to be very nervous.
God is still sovereign, despite the choices that mankind makes. And He still hears the prayers of His people. Stop and ask for His wisdom for our leaders, our country, our families, yourself and for comfort and peace for those who mourn. And be prepared to answer His call in whatever He asks you to do.
There will always be those 2% that have no loyalties whatsoever and they will always be outcasts wherever & whoever they are
We will survive this as a United country that is mightily pissed and sick and tired of these camel jockeys calling the shots.
This is war. no doubt about it and we will prevail.

The second thing is to pass a law that legalizes assasination of people like Bin Laden.
The third thing is to arm our country like Switzerland.
The last thing, after we are all armed, is to hunt down these people and destroy every vestige of their existence, right down to the dust.
Agree on all points. Some additions:
1) Immediate full scale military attack on all known murderous terrorist organizations, with the objective of killing every single terrorist.
2) Follow with investigation to determine what group did this and what nation funded it. Annihilate that organization, then destroy every military target in the host nation. Take over the host nation's government and install a new government.
