The Supreme Court’s decision Friday to revive the Trump administration’s expanded SAVE database for the midterms also suggests the justices may be eager to weaken one of federal law’s most important safeguards against last-minute voter purges.
In its ruling, the Court acknowledged that the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) prohibits states from conducting “systematic” voter removal programs during the quiet period — the 90 days before a federal election. The majority said that restriction “limits the potential impact” of restoring the administration’s SAVE database weeks before the midterms.
But the majority noted that “individualized inquiries” remain permissible during the quiet period. And the Court relied on the government’s inability to conduct those inquiries, as long as use of the SAVE database remained blocked, as one reason the administration was entitled to emergency relief.
Now, a crucial voter protection could hinge on whether the Supreme Court wants to narrow the definition of “systematic” as applied to purges. And there’s reason to fear that it does.
The distinction is particularly notable because the Court itself described the Trump administration’s expanded Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program as now allowing “state and local authorities to conduct bulk searches of multiple individuals at once.”
Friday’s ruling does not explicitly hold that states can run thousands of voters through SAVE and then evade the NVRA’s quiet period by treating each resulting citizenship challenge as an “individualized” inquiry.
But it does raise the question: If the federal government or a state uses a bulk database search to flag thousands of voters, then removes each person separately, will the Court allow that as an individualized process, rather than barring it as a systematic purge?

Your sarcasm makes the point. But for accuracy—they have the right to choose.
Choosing to conspire with a foreign actor against the United States has consequences.
In other words, the military giveth, and the military shall taketh away.
Democracy Docket has no plan to secure elections.
The in place fraud is doing exactly what they want.
The SAVE database doesn’t require anything. It’s a resource that states can choose to use. Simply making it available doesn’t constitute a purge of voter registrations.
If the states were doing their jobs properly, they would get the rolls cleaned up in the 640 days before the 90-day cut-off. Just plan ahead a little bit!
This is why it needs to be expanded to 19 justices with half of them from the LGBTQ and the other half on the autism spectrum.
No group or power will ever stand with force to oppose the Democratic/Islamo/Socialist/Globohomo agenda or initiatives.

I can see it is Leftist organization anyway. They always name things (”Democracy Docket”) in the fashion of the old Communist fronts to deceive people into thinking they are working towards the betterment of the nation instead of striving to destroy it.
It’s important to preserve an individual’s right to vote, if there’s a possibility they’re entitled to that right.
However, it’s also important to preserve everyone else’s right to have their vote be important.
Should the standard for purging an individual be beyond a reasonable doubt or a preponderance of evidence?
If it’s only one individual with a shaky case, I’d lean towards the individual. If it’s hundreds, thousands or tens of thousands, I lean towards it’s a pattern and there’s something wrong there.
If it’s a large number, and they strongly tend to vote for a particular party, that’s another indication that there’s a problem and they should be purged.
The communist in congress long ago began the process of infiltrating and designing the system for vote fraud.

Right.... Republicans hold the presidency, Senate, and the House of Representatives today. If Democrats are embezzling anything, it’s just another demonstration of Republican incompetence.
I have sat in on enough voter purge and provisional ballot qualification sessions to have confidence in their results when they are carried out properly. In Florida, the decision is made by a majority vote of a three member election board that includes a local judge. The facts are rarely in dispute and the proper decision is almost always clear.
In the event, the standard of decision -- preponderance of the evidence -- rarely matters. The larger problem is that America's voters rolls at all levels are bloated with invalid registrations that serve as means for injecting fraudulent votes. That is how elections are stolen with little recourse.

I think where the dimocraps have the advantage over Republicans is the fact that they are perfectly willing to something dishonest, illegal.
