As soon as Platner lost his lead, all of a sudden other democrats grew a conscience and had second thoughts about all the allegations and it would not be appropriate for him to run.
If he had kept his lead, democrats would have continued to excuse everything about him.
They are always lucky in changing candidates as another week and he would have had to stay on the ballot.
