President Donald Trump said on Wednesday the United States was getting along very well with Iran and that recent meetings in Qatar went well.
"The denuclearization of Iran is moving along well," Trump told reporters. "They've had very good meetings, and we'll see."
The U.S. and Iran held technical talks in the Qatari capital of Doha on Wednesday as they seek to agree on the flow of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and secure a lasting ceasefire, a source with direct knowledge of the talks and an Iranian official said.
Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and envoy Steve Witkoff met the prime minister of Qatar — a mediator in the talks alongside Pakistan — to lay groundwork for the negotiations, but would not be attending the discussions themselves, the source with direct knowledge of the talks said.
"We're getting along very well," Trump said, adding Iran has "come a long way."

Trump’s “carrot & stick” approach to negotiation. Very “Art of the Deal” also similar to what serious poker players do. Break\manipulate the psychology of the table. I am unconvinced it works when dealing with religious fanatics. To them knocking over the table and setting the room on fire with themselves in it is a win!
I wonder if he thinks he can turn them to our side in the current world war. Away from the Russians and Red China.

Give him some time. They are negotiating the strait right now and oil is flowing. $70/bbl is a huge victory. Who cares about the rest. Do you think their nuke making abilities are destroyed?
This is the biggest victory since WWII and the left does not want to admit it as do any of the FReyores.

Just stating the facts. Nowhere in my post did I indicate my preferences (which are decidedly against any Democratic Socialist” winning any election). But, I’d also spell “Palestine” correctly if I did.
Maybe that’s what his intentions are. Understandable for any President.
