Street preachers Richard Penkoski and David Grisham allege Fort Worth police officers violated their First Amendment rights during Trinity Pride Fest on June 27 by preventing them from preaching on public streets and sidewalks surrounding the event and later issuing one of them a citation for disorderly conduct related to noise.

Video of the encounter spread quickly on X after Carlos Turcios of The Dallas Express posted footage from the event.
By Monday morning, the post appeared as the No. 2 item in X’s News category, according to a screenshot reviewed by The Dallas Express.
Elon Musk replied to Turcios and The Dallas Express, writing, “In Texas? Wow.”

These pukin’ pride parades can use some fire and brimstone from the preachers.
Freedom of speech, freedom to assemble.
I could use an extra 10M for slander.
These “Pride People” sure are loud and proud. Nothing is done to silence them to avoid offending the sensibilities of the majority of the population.
Ever wonder WHY the police almost ALWAYS take the side of the sodomites?
Maybe kinship?
At first I thought this must be England.
Since when did offensive speech become illegal? Has anyone told the Supreme Court about this change in the Constitution?
Were they saying, “Kill the trannies?” Because that is dangerous speech.
But just saying stuff no one wants to hear is not “dangerous.”
The whole idea of first amendment is being able to stand in the town square and speechify about dumb stuff.
Of all the police departments in the US, Texas Police should be the last to start the devolution into the depths of depravity of the British police.
Big time.
Send the Pope there to bless them. /s
Most likely.
Back in the day when the KKK rallied in cities the protesters were loud and steady and the police didn’t protect the klan’s feelings (and they shouldn’t here either).
The preacher was on the recording asking the cops if they simply said that a "he" is not a "she," would that violate the law. The female cop said that if someone in the festival found it offensive, then yes.
We're at the point of calling it a crime to "misgender" someone in Texas.
Lots of Christians are aware of the phrase "not ashamed of the gospel" in Romans 1:16. But don't forget the context:
Romans 1:14-18 and further (NIV): 14 I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. 15 That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,...
And if you read on Paul gets into the a brief summary of the history and contemporary problems in the Greco-Roman world, including being proud of sexual sin, including gay sex sin. Much like today.
How it all ties together: Verse 16's "For" means keep the prior verses in mind. Being unashamed of the gospel is part of the missionary task to Gentiles (in this context, the western world). Verse 17's "For" (that word again) and "righteousness of God revealed" links to verse 18's "wrath of God revealed". The gospel message is needed to open people's eyes to the kind of sinful turning away from God today that's a repeat of the same sinful steps leading up to Paul's day.
Which is the same sinful steps the western world repeated after the 17th century's Enlightenment brought back the atheism of the ancient Epicureans (Acts 17) and pushed deism (God exists, but keep him at a distance). True to Romans 1 fashion, the next phase was the first sexual revolution, which led to homosexuality being accepted (look up reports of gays holding hands walking in the streets of London). We got out of that with the First and Second Great Awakenings.
We'll get out of the current sexual revolution with the same thing.
AAMCO will be shuttered soon.

When push comes to shove...law enforcement is not our friends.
Free speech is allowed by the Constitution. If these people are allowed to talk about how great it is to celebrate their deviancy, others should be allowed freely to share that this line of thought and action is sinful.
Do these police warn against anyone saying something offensive about President Trump at the pride festival?
And don’t try it in Canada where the Bible is considered hate speech.
