President Donald Trump declared that Iran 'really wants to make a deal' early on Monday morning, just hours after the US military launched strikes against Iranian drone facilities.
In a late-night Truth Social post shortly after 1am, Trump insisted diplomacy remained within reach despite the latest exchange of fire, while simultaneously lashing out at critics he said were undermining his negotiating position.
'Iran really wants to make a deal, and it will be a good one for the USA and those that are with us,' Trump wrote.
But the president also took aim at what he called 'Dumocrats' and 'seemingly unpatriotic Republicans,' accusing political opponents of making it harder for him to navigate one of the most dangerous foreign policy crises of his presidency.
'Don't the Dumocrats, and various seemingly unpatriotic Republicans, understand that it is MUCH tougher for me to properly do my job and negotiate, when political hacks keep negatively 'chirping,' at levels never seen before, over and over again, that I should move faster, or move slower, or go to war, or not go to war, or whatever,' Trump wrote.
'Just sit back and relax, it will all work out well in the end - It always does!'
Trump's post comes and amid growing fears that the fragile ceasefire between Washington and Tehran could be unraveling after the latest round of strikes.
They came after the US accused Tehran of shooting down a US drone and threatening ships traveling through regional waters.
US Central Command announced that American fighter aircraft carried out what it described as 'self-defense strikes' against Iranian radar and drone command facilities in southern Iran after a series of what it called aggressive actions by the regime.

Trump is confusing the Iranians/IRGC by being all over the place. By being deceptive, unpredictable and in rope a dope mode.
IRGC and lying ass Ayatollahs are very pissed. They are masters of lying and deception and Trump stole their game. He also blockaded their blockade. So that their classic “negotiating” game of delay delay and deceive has a time limit on it now. Due to IRGG getting zero oil money to pay the bills that are due.
Trump has said many times that in foreign policy he aims to be unpredictable.
They have lost economic control and no longer control straights

Trump has been given bad advice by his advisors. You don’t make deals with terrorists. Iran cannot be trusted. If he doesn’t bring the leaders to the surrender table soon, the pubies can kiss 2026 goodbye. His influence will wane as hencecomes a true lame duck president.
Trump’s not running again, and the polls are not showing any blue wave, actually. Polls are showing the Republicans keep the Senate.
I know the polls show most people don’t want war with Iran, but there are no polls showing democrats are capitalizing on this.
The democrats’ opposition seems entirely focused on hating Trump, and opposing all and any of his policies, so they really don’t have much to run.
Gas prices are starting to come down, and, in any case, they never went up like under Biden and people remember that.
Well in any war you go in to kill the enemy until they surrender if they are alive... Not jawbone them into boredom...

This is not just any old war.
You are right but not in the sense you think... Iran is a bushfire war that should have been rapped up weeks ago but Trump is inexperienced.
This is how Trump keeps up the war on Iran without getting Consent from Congress. 🙄
I know the Dems are batschit crazy. But they have the advantage of not being the party who started an unpopular war. That just may be enough to sway a minority of voters to come to their side. I know it doesn't make sense but it's a political reality.

Trump got elected saying he would lower prices. Gas prices are higher today than before he was elected. Plus Biden isn't on the ballot.

Bombing the pumping stations will suffice. They are massive/on shore that send Iran’s crude to the Kharg island oil terminals.
Even taking out 50% of pumping capacity will rock their world, the apocalyptic IRGC clowns.

I’ve heard this they want to make a deal stuff for a month. They are experts at dilly dalling. Drag it out until the midterms or something else gets Trump’s attention. They don’t care how many of their people starve, die, whatever. They will have theirs with the Red Chinese and Soviets providing new drones and missiles to reload. They are never giving up. The Koran allows them to tell you anything you want to hear, sign anything, it is okay to lie to accomplish that Al-something the other’s hopes and dreams to rule the world. Europe is on its way and Amerika is following in a few decades.
