Disney World revives 'Ladies and gentlemen' greeting after years of gender-neutral messages

A Disney World fan account shared video suggesting the Florida theme park has revived its famous "Ladies and gentlemen" greeting, after ditching such phrases for gender-neutral messages years ago.

The fan account, known on X as "Theme Park Cheetah," shared video purporting to show the return of the greeting.

"It was very nice to hear that ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ has returned to the Magic Kingdom Express Monorail recently!" the account wrote in a post.

"For context it was removed around 2021 when Disney tried to make the parks more ‘inclusive,’" it added.

Disney did not immediately respond to FOX Business’ request for comment.

It was reported in 2021 that Walt Disney World in Orlando removed its longtime greeting, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls," from its Magic Kingdom fireworks show to promote inclusivity. It was replaced with a greeting saying, "Good evening, dreamers of all ages!"

Disney's diversity and inclusion manager Vivian Ware was heard speaking of such changes in a video conference recorded in March 2022.

This is such a beautiful win and a reminder of why any threat of reversal to these gains - should the progressive Left retake power - be taken seriously.

Though maybe the momentum is such that even the Left will abandon the nonsense.

Does Disney know which is which? Or do they ask anyone with a penis to hold up their hand? Inquiring minds want to know. Oh and some of us don’t GAF.

I believe Walt Disney's idea was to package the American culture, and put a concentrated, distilled version of its best aspects into Disneyland, and his movies. I think that business model worked well as long as there was a general consensus that American culture was valuable, and a general feeling among the population that it was something to appreciate and be thankful for.

But one political party has been trying for decades to criticize, denigrate, and replace American culture with something that Walt Disney probably would recoil from.

So of course, the company he founded is going to have a problem fulfilling its original mission. Maybe I'm completely wrong, I don't know.

But if your business plan is to bottle and sell your culture, and you lose the ability to define what your culture is, and why it has value, you're going to have a business problem.

Q: What’s the best thing about conservative women?

A: No penis.

Anything Disney is forever off my purchase list. I really no longer care what they do.

It sounds classic and simply has a nice ring to it.

“Ladies and gentlemen.”

A lot of the new age stuff seems to be taking us backward.

It’s dysfunctional.

But people justify their existence that way, so expect more of it.

Well, that's only true if you are determined to be 100% mass market appeal, which in today's America (and practically everywhere else that isn't all Muslim all the time) is impossible.

Disney can choose to market to normals, or to abnormals, but will inevitably offend the market it chooses not to market to. So if I'm the King of Disney, would I rather be selling Normalworld or Weirdworld to the public?

(cf. "Bud Light," "American Eagle")

I believe their business models were very different. One very and I do mean Very persuasive in blue jeans and the other is a turd floating in a bath tub. It does seem now the one company is trying to do penance to retrieve years of branding. If you moved on to another product why go back? Once bitten, twice shy. IMO

Yeah, I'd have more respect for them if they just addressed the visitors properly, "Welcome Pedophiles, Traffickers, Enablers, and Victims".

Yes; to use my previous terms, AE was aiming for Normalworld, Bud Light was aiming for Weirdworld. Businesses aiming for normal customers gain the normal customers, and have to live with the opprobrium of the left; businesses aiming for weird customers generally don't get the weird customers, and also lose the normal customers, which means they have in effect no customers.

American Eagle isn't marketing to have anyone return, although they're a bonus if they do. American Eagle is advertising to people too new or too young to have witnessed the "fat, ugly, and non-white" campaigns.

I still remember that video that full grown adult man with a mustache and wearing a princess dress, greeting little girls as they walked into the castle to try on princess dresses themselves.

Those were dark days, and that was the day I I knew I’d never bring my kids back to that park

Don’t care - they’ve destroyed the rivers of America and Tom Sawyers island and removed the America flag and finale from the electrical parade because patriotism and the USA is offensive to them.

Screw ‘em. I’m not going back.

I live in Idaho, the heart of malt barley country, if you think the idiot move by the folks at bud light went unnoticed you are wrong. A friend who grows grain for Budweiser was really PO’d. It ripppled down to him and everyone in the supply chain because some woke azzhole in marketing 💩 on normal people. College education is not where to learn American values.
