President Donald Trump issued a fresh military threat against Iran on Sunday, saying U.S. forces are prepared to “finish up the little that is left of Iran” after marathon peace talks failed to clinch a deal to end more than six weeks of war.
U.S. officials left drawn-out negotiations in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, in the early hours of Sunday without a breakthrough or answers on what could come next after a temporary, two-week ceasefire expires. Trump announced the pause in attacks on April 7.
Rounding off a lengthy message on Truth Social, Trump added: "We are fully “LOCKED AND LOADED,” and our Military will finish up the little that is left of Iran."

The inevitable course of military action seems headed for President Trump to move in and acquire temporary control over the Iranian splintered political system.
Once the mullah-fractured groups of religious fanatics have been neutralized, President Trump can call together rational political leaders from the Middle East to guide the country into more peaceable waters than the wild turbulence created by the current religious fanatics.
STOP talking and just do it already.
Threats only work once. If you don’t follow through, they will never have effect. Stop talking, start acting.
Let’s see more than a blockade.

Drop the bridges and bomb the electric turbines.
About one or two sorties in duration. Easy. Bitter medicine for Persians. Maybe they’ll steel their nerves and attack their IRGC neighbors.

Also the power grid can be "soft" bombed with graphite bombs which will not permanently damage the infrastructure.

The US got caught off-guard with the Strait of Hormuz being closed like it was.
That has had quite a few knock-on effects.
More are coming as Iran has acted in a way that was not anticipated prior to the start of the war and is still unpredictable.
Whoever gets inside the other’s decision loop (i.e. OODA) will have the upper hand.
